For ArmA3 heli pilots only...

If anybody at all is wondering what the hell happened to me – I’m currently spending 120% of my gaming time on modding for ArmA3. This is what I’m up to:


KA-50 version A (day attack only, same one that was deployed in Chechnya war). This is a high-poly project, super detailed external 3d model was bought for this purpose and strongly modified by me using Kamov cuts and prints of V-80 prototype, so down to 1 inch its 1:1 with the real helicopter. Also rotor visuals (realistic rotor in motion) and functionality (individual blades respond to all inputs) is done by me.

All internal structures are done by me. Helicopter is fully intractable and has all maintenance bays modelled. You even have factory “unpainted” skin ;-)

80% of textures and 100% materials are mine, you can chose from different camouflage types – real and fictional.

Also all coding, avionics, guidance and weapon systems (Cannon actually tracks targets, no more fire and forget for atgm - vikhrs are laser guided now) are done by me. Load out screen realistically offers different magazines for 30mm cannon.


I still have some tweaks to do and add some visuals, also a rework for Vikihr missiles is needed badly, but after that is done I’m going to add the never-to-be KA-50N night attack FLIR version with glass cockpit. In future mayby KA-52m/k/e versions and who knows… maybe even KA-50-2 for shits and giggles XDDDDD

If anyone has any idea how to make a moving map mfd and rwr in arma3 please let me know on prv.

That was the best! In my personal opinion much better than dayz SA (I have both and modded for both)

Problem with my black shark just now is weapons aim - it boosts realistic tracking system for cannon (this ship has only pilot, no gunner) but the aim is off a bit when target is flanking me. Not sure how to get about that…

I saw that, but tbh with you Arma3 sucks when it comes to hand to hand - its a warfer sim, with strong accents on airforce and armourd vehicles, so Pred mod will always lack the neede fluency i think

Yup - no time for any other games just now, I’m officially the first and only person who modded a single seat helicopter to Arma3 with a working turret cannon that tracks targets - stuff officially impossible with the game engine. I will not let go until this project is finished! So might not be back to P:HG for another year or so…
