Fucking hell the mandibles on that thing are horribly designed.
Actually, scratch that, everything about that pred was horribly designed.

The design itself could have, but IMO it would need a few changes:
- De-curl the upper mandible back into where it should be.
- Fix the lower set of mandibles.
- Make it so he has to shift out of his biological armored mode for speed & better movement. (Not just only shift in once when he begins the hunt).
Do that, give it a movie with good plot and make it a subspecies or an experiment, instead of an autist hunting genetic upgrade, and I’m sold.

I respect these changes, however I never understood the problem with the mandibles. I don’t see anything wrong with them? Like a lot of people say their different but for me I can’t see it

The upper one is curled up like a baboon doing this
but its the bone instead.
And from the look of the lower mandibles they are coming from the center of the face not lower like the OG designs.

I would be good with it being an experiment and a bad blood also would’ve been nice if it wasn’t as big as it was and the fugitive would’ve been an enforcer instead and would’ve killed it by the end of at least helped kill it

Here is a great video detailing where the mandibles went wrong in the sequels. The OG will probably forever be the best designed of the franchise, because the purpose of the mandibles have taken a back seat to the “aesthetic” of having mandibles.

I believe in the theory that the three Supers are genetically modified yautjas, like Upgraded/Assassin, but of course less modiefed.
It would connect the dots, also because the genetical upgrade concept was in the Predators script but didn’t make it to the movie, and cause some concept of Upgrade are very similar to the Supers face.
Still hate that genetical thing, and hate Upgrade/Assasin tho.
Genetic modification of their own DNA is okay, even if dishonorable, but capturing whole organisms or skulls with spine to “steal DNA” is stupid and unnecessary.

He is a genetic cyborg terminator thing and just busts through walls like the koolaid man and starts throwing people around. he has a wire thing or something for killing people on motorcycles I guess.
nothing about this design says upgraded predator though, its just big naked cgi movie monster so they failed hard at what they were trying to do.
