So does anyone else try to bait the Predator?
When I play with my normal squad and we have one of those 6th sense perk users. So we know when Pred players throw things. So we see a trap thrown but the player has not revealed himself yet. We will have a bait player mostly a support or Dutch to Trigger the trap while the other three lay in wait. So when they go in for the easy melee kill we light them up and 2nd wind them.

Yep it works frequently. When I play predator now I’m always watching the other FT when I trap a guy. I’ll frequently catch them doing what you just mentioned. I’ll use the opportunity to shoot the one trying to spot me and ignore the guy in the trap.
I used to trap em and just feed em arrows while being invisible. When FT is down and noone comes to save him, I just feed him with some more arrows.
Baiting is one way of winning against a Predator with randoms not only with friends!
Hide and use one of the unskilled randoms as bait. Many predators (no matter if PS4 or PC) take the bait and dare to engage in melee combat or even to claim. They get a free second wind as the rewards. Interestingly, many predators often take such baits even a second time.
However, careful predators won’t take such baits. They always finish off at least 2 fireteam members from safety, either by ranged attacks or single melee attacks.
You will find out very soon how risky the predator plays.
In version 2.06, the predator’s plasma caster is a weapon suited to counter these baits. Just down your first fireteam members with it from cover. Only fireteam members with sniper rifles can engage a predator efficiently at the plasma caster’s range.

I think most Preds are wise to this kind of thing. I certainly don’t bother going in to melee kill a trapped FT unless I’m confident the FT are disorganised or far away enough for me to do it without getting second-winded. Most of the time I’ll arrow or plasma the guy until he’s fully dead, then perhaps pick the skull up later.
Mehh, you would be surprised. Its easy to trick a pred If he sees 3 run one way and the other the other he is going to go after the easy trophy
Randoms always get used as bait. No matter what. But unlike pc scrubs us ps players have friends
That is not my experience from playing as fireteam in quick matches. Many predators take this kind of bait just like fireteam players try to revive a downed fireteam member without cover and get shot down themselves.
Well, I guess I can only really speak for myself. I suppose I can imagine some of the newer Pred players falling for this. I occasionally see people on this forum complaining about getting blocked by FT in a building, so there are obviously still some Pred players stupid enough to fall for the oldest tricks in the book.

Nice! You see that is the reason why I always finish my prey from distance with uncharged bow attacks - no one can see shit and the guy is stiff after just few shots ;-)
Truth is I’ve learnd to do that after being lured in, just like you’ve described, and brutally killed off XDDDD

Well I knew this before I played the Pred, 'cause I did the baiting as FT and used the guy who would get downed 1st as bait. 😂
I’ve been caught in FT traps a few times, but never been killed by one yet. What does get me killed is the damn uncancellable pig feeding!
