FT melee is broke

Um… Dude runs in face first and expected the first swing of any melee weapon not get parried? FT had his knife out at the ready… You can’t just attack from the front… The strength of the Elders word is in it’s arc and angles of the later parts of the combo. The first 2 swings should always be from behind, or purposely missed so the later part of the combo can hit that fucker from the sides and behind while you circle his bitch ass. The pred here was just trying to muscle through an unbreakable mechanic.

Is it kind of stupid that a 200 lb dude can full on block a melee swing from a 350-400lb alien? Yeah, but it’s a needed mechanic to prevent FT from getting completely smoked by mindless spamming.

Easy. Pull out the knife and spam heavy attack if they’re spamming you. If not then just press heavy when you see them swing. Heavy attacks for whatever reason make it so you don’t have to be as precise with your parry. And no, the stun really isn’t needed if they tweak the parry to prevent you from taking damage. That would be overkill.

That’s obviously a noob predator. Doesn’t try to create space and mix up its melee timing and then tries to heal right in front of the whole fireteam.

I get that everyone is saying “elder sword! elder sword!” but you guys are letting them off too easy lol. The Elder sword should not be the only viable weapon in the game, if that’s the case then why even have the others? Seriously it’s retarded that everyone uses the elder sword as the basis for what we should buff and nerf, we should fix all of the weapons in the game so that there is more diversity, what is the point of the war club if it’s ass? What is the point of the combistick if it’s slow? What is the point of the game if there’s only one melee weapon aside from your built in wristblades?

Exactly.
War club should be a slow heavy hitting weapon with high damage and a knockback effect.
Elder sword should be swift with moderate damage.
Combistick should be slow with moderate damage best suited for tackling multiple enemies.
And so on.

They should all be as good as each other but some excel in areas others don’t so they offer variety and different playstyles. Right now it’s just elder sword, net gun and bow or nothing. And maybe disc and katana Rest are underwhelming.

Have you seen the lock area of combistick melee. You can’t miss as long as your near the target. Also, the combistick melee can do damage beyond the range of FT parrying.

No i won’t them to make it where the FT can’t just parry the pred to death. Make it where you can parry two or three times but when your stamina is gone you start taking damage from the his

It’s funny, if I get charged with a disk, I book it. That thing is scary.

Honestly don’t know if it is parry-able. I main Scout and it may be easy to dodge but you can’t watch it and the Pred at the same time.

hits harder than wrist blades… and doesnt need tracking to hit… its range isnt good as combi but it gets the job done solo better

It certainly does not get the respect it deserves, but with the Combi nerf (which I approve of), it might get more Pred’s using it.

I like it because it is fun to play off of. There’s lots of give an take when it’s used. I get to try flanking the Pred and they get to one shot me if I fuck up. It’s a fairer one shot in my opinion because it takes skill to get that double hit off.

While I’m thinking of it, you should go put you’re name in the 3v1 tournament. I genuinely want to see you play with a stake on the line and don’t want to be so obvious as to butter you up to get you to do it. 😉

People have identified me as a FT Scout main, I don’t get as much Predator time as I’d like even with the shorter queen times, I’d rather help keep them low, except when I’m feeling it. There are many more Pred mains than FT mains on the forum, so I don’t mind, as I like to think I help balance that out a bit.

You told my tribe to get bent, so I responded for myself. I could have been ruder than just declining.
