Yep. Its boring as hell now playing fireteam. I’m just mowing down useless AI mobs until the predator dares to start getting close. Whether its his worthless camo that you can see a mile away, or his t-rex stomps, he’s getting ass blasted by my sniper. Then if he’s dumb enough to melee, its parry parry shank shank and then that second wind pops but oh no he has no more stamina left from his worthless combos that missed because I jumped and ran past/behind him breaking the terrible tracking of his melee.
So now its a jump sprint chase through the woods as the pred desperately tries to find some place to hide and regen but oh no he’s glowing so bright! Time to force that self destruct and then an easy disarm, fun four minute match there right?
Sure the first dozen times, now fireteam is getting old to play. No challenge.

Sorry but the only players I see moaning about this are Berserker/ combistick users looking to just end the match quick for easy XP. Do you expect the Fireteam to have absolutely NO defence against you whilst you rush in swinging your combistick around? Instead, why don’t you learn better tactics or use diff weapons or traps. I agree on the fact some of the other Pred classes don’t pose too much of a threat because of balancing issues, but don’t get mad just because you can’t go God mode on the FT
Reviews give around 5/10.
Besides the fixable bugs they point out that it is not that great an achivement or mindblowing killing the Predator.
I know there are very skilled Predator players out there who argue against balancing the game towards the Predator’s favour… Sorry guys and girls, but the game will bleed player count on the the high skill level required to make use of the Predator that you represent.
It would be a bad business case not to take the reviews and the majority of the outcries in here into very serious consideration if you want an increase in the player count, keep players from moving on towards other games sooner than later.
I fear that without balancing in favor of the Predator we will be left with the die hard fans and those stubborn players calling “get better” or “I will do with work-arounds in play style”.
Oh you misunderstand. Iv got NO problems if they wanna buff the Predator or nerf FT. If they want to make it easier for me, I’m ALL for it. I just don’t think it’s going to happen the way so many of you want. I could very well be wrong, but I think the data shows a closer win ratio than some of you think and 2, this forum and reviews aren’t the majority, it’s the minority. Most players aren’t on this forum and most players who have nothing to complain about don’t say anything. It’s like the old saying that if u have a good experience at a restaurant you tell 5 ppl, but if you have a bad experience you tell 20. Same basic concept applies here.
But no, I have no issues with them buffing the Predator in whatever way they feel they need to.
How the fu** can you tell? I’m “moaning” about unfair mechanics in this game, like every one else who wants a good, chalenging but fair game, never used a berserker yet, mostly play as FT anyway… how can you tell who is “moaning”???
I see what you are getting at, and that is every business’ wet dream - the user selling your product, but assuming that leveI promotion and growth through relations is speculation and a desired “bonus”.
I will still assert that we are at the point where public reviews calling for balance in favor the game’s darling (the Predator) will have greater consequenses for the potential player count and the game’s longevity.
Many customers base their acquisition on reviews and do not pre-order and choose to show faith up front. They follow the stream of popularity - not just the opinion of a friend, put their trust in statistics and often look towards the public opinion to get feeling in which direction the game is moving.
I am a huge fan of this gane myself, and I will be among the last men standing. My fear is just that we will end up with a decreased number of potential opponents.
Personally I am willing to accept less of a challenge playing as Predator/take less of ass kicking from FT (reader can choose whichever phrase suits him/her) to have the game do well and have the joy of Predator feel/thrill of being the hunted as FT for a long time to come.
Why do you keep repeating this over and over in every thread you said your piece why do you keep repeating it you have no idea how they will fix the game so stop making assumptions out of thin air.
Mostly comes from 2 things
1- if everyone reads each others threads there wouldn’t be so many repeat posts saying something or other needs nerfed.
2- it’s to help either side depending on if it’s a fireteam issue or pred issue especially this one in particular because they can be avoided but some do not know about it or aren’t used to it so it’s information to help them try and overcome the issue.
3- no need to be nasty or rude or respond to a thread just to get that way with someone.
4- not so much making an assumption as it is a fact as I have personal experience with ft’s that love using knives
Yea it’s a balancing act for sure. Predator is too weak and no one wants to use him thus ya can’t find a lobby. Over buff the Predator and no one wants to face off against him thus ya can’t find a lobby. Either way ends in doom. Dead by Daylight had this issue(has this issue) where for a long time it was impossible to find lobbies because very few people were willing to play killer.
I still believe most of the stuff players want tuned when it comes to the Predator can be overcome by increasing their skill level with the character. Again, I don’t think the game is a far off as people like to think and I’d be willing to bet large sums of money Illfonic agrees.
But ultimately Illfonic knows what’s up. They’ve got access to data we don’t. They see exact how many wins the Preds racking up(or not) the length of matches, etc. Give em time to gather and sift through that data and I’m sure they’ll share their vision for moving forward.

Dear developers. You destroyed the ENT movie of the universe! I didn’t buy the game in order to play as a predator, to understand that the hunter is not me at all! The predator is weak, very weak! The squad is essentially pleased with the appearance of a predator, because this is a quick completion of the task. Endurance quickly ends, hp quickly ends, energy ends quickly, a poor archery system, low energy gun damage, low parkour speed, a predator is clearly visible in camouflage mode, slow and poor attack animations, large squad health, large squad damage, worthlessness in the second wind and much much more! Predator, this is prey! You don’t know anything about balance. I advise you to watch movies: predators 2010 and predator 2018. Perhaps you will take a lot of ideas from these films and most importantly, you will understand who the prey is in the hunting grounds.

I get that, but at the end of the day this is a pvp game. You cant really bring physics into this. If the FT had zero defence against it, and every single Pred used the combistick and the FT just had to sit there and die every match and get hardly any XP, then why would anyone wanna play as FT?
I literally had a FT player say “ I love how they have it, it’s not like Friday the 13th. The killer actually sucks.” I’m thinking it’s supposed to be the other way around. I’ve won one match out of a bunch. Doing one thing, I sit far back and blast them with my canon and kill them with it while they are downed. There is no melee in this game and it’s stupid I have to just use one weapon to try and get a win. They should just take all the other weapons out. Another this is they call that chopper in so quick it’s ridiculous. In the movie it took a few days for that chopper to come. Calling in reinforcements in is way too easy you can’t win if they do that. It’s like fighting 8 fire team guys instead of 4. Anyone who says the predator doesn’t need a fix is just like that retard who says he likes the killer to suck. One more thing go to their Facebook page and harass the hell out of them.
I am really crossing my fingers that you are right and we will see this game grow!
I think they just need to make the predator more stealthy. That’s the only buff he needs right now in my opinion.
