The predator self destruct is too easily defused a simple puzzle lock a 5 year old can do. It should be a puzzle that requires great mount of thinking. Like killing Jason in f13. Who agrees?

And no, it’s not too easy. I still see a lot of people botching it and go boom. Or they just head for the hills.
Have you ever tried defusing it and timing it? I bet the answer is no. The time between defusing it and it going off is usually 2 secs. Any error tends to result in a big fireball…
Then how come in my last match as a predator the ft defused it in under 5 seconds.
He has a point. The self destruct is useless, is completely useless right now. It’s too easy to counter in terms of blast range and disarm, plus the current bug where sometimes you get shot/killed and poof the self destruct gets terminated, like instantly.
Practice. Knowing the symbols. It is a numbers lock after all. And it makes it easier if they are already on top of you. Do keep in mind that people will get more skilled at aspects of the game. But don’t despair, a lot of preds I come across don’t have the chance to set it off or get defused very quick. Most of them had already dropped their biomask at the 1st encounter. There is a reason for the “protection” perk… 50’ to the face usually does the trick :)
In my opinion the defusing is “meh” right now, standing between “needs a buff” and “it’s ok-ish”. I have seen veeeery few players who can’t defuse it because they are not fast enough. Most of the time I play as a solo and again, most of the time I’m the only one who defuses it, just because I’m much faster when it comes to those symbols.
In my opinion it needs more symbols, but not to make you search endlessly for them, but to have different symbols each game, or a random generator of some sorts, so you don’t always know what to look for, making the pattern harder.
If its a numbers lock without repetition, the possible number of combinations is 5040 or 10000 if it is with repetition. This would make the “lock” random enough in my opinion. Could add a fifth digit to the combination, but I’m not a fan (there still needs to be (small) room for error).
And I’m also one that if needs be, defuses the device. Mostly because others tend to go like this:

Dude you are full of shit if you saying you seen ppl die from defusing it. 99% of the fucking time when i die with the predator it’s the same shit. Shoot my helmet off, kill me, defuse my bomb That Stevie Wonder could even defuse within 5seconds, then Take out the pathetic excuse of an A.I. that an kindergartner can even kill. It’s bs really that it’s EVEN an OPTION. Nobody has EVER defused their bomb before in the films why add that cornball shit in this game. Smh it’s pathetic

Please i hope & pray they take it out the game or make it harder to defuse it. It’s fucking alien technology for crying out loud and the FT are definitely not scientist or know ANYTHING about an alien language that is foreign to their human eyes to even decode it to match it up… a fucking chimpanzee can match the letters together to defuse it.
I see a problem when everyone is allowed to try defusing at the same time. 4 dudes pushing buttons on a bomb? No good idea. But in this game, chances are extremely high that someone will manage to defuse it.
