Target Isolation is more for locating nearest boars these days. The actual mechanics for homing in on the sounds created by a mudded up Fireteam are complicated, and I wouldn’t know how they work but there are Pred mains who know how to utilise it and will find a FT who’s mudded up, motionless and hiding in the bushes. This is what I’ve understood from the other thread regarding Target Isolation when this was mentioned.
FT Spots PRED from anywhere and any distance. This is no hunt.
No, you have to be in “thermal vision” which implies it catches body heat. Yes you can see the sound bubbles in thermal vision as well. The mud stops body heat from being seen. Hence why target isolation doesn’t work when they are mudded up. I have played well over 1000 games as pred. Been level 100 since day 3 and havent been killed since level 62. I know what I’m talking about. The observant perk will let you see mudded FTs footprints though.
I couldn’t go back to not using observent…its so convenient, “oh look there’s some single line of footprints leading into that building meaning he’s all by his lonesome” 😁

If you’re so good and you win “9/10” matches then what’s the problem? You want the game to be balanced so you can always win 10/10 matches? I don’t understand this. Ppl come here, complain then proceed to tell everyone how good they are. I’m not against some changes to spotting but if I were winning 90% of my matches I’d obviously not care too much.

Be careful, the fireteam will just say you need to get gud… thats what they all told me and that i suck blah blah blah when i reported the same thing and that i was taking a break till its fixed (even though i have played a bit since )… they just dont want to admit its ruining gameplay and are scared of the incoming nerf… I cant wait.

Target isolation shows non-mudded FT as a red bubble…it won’t show an FT with mud on, so target isolation can’t have anything to do with sound. Is it mentioned in the extras where it talks about sound? If so, they need to rewrite it lol

You forget that fireteam can infinately use the spot spam… target isolation has a huge cooldown and is really only used 2 or 3 times due to this.
