FT Tutorial part 3

So here’s part 3. I’m open to suggestions on anything else

I have this idea for weeks now, for the video.

How NOT TO PLAY as Fireteam and then I would just go and do everything potatoes do.

  1. Spawn from the 'copter, oh look, there’s a pig BAM BAM mofo!!! (full clip 30 bullets into the pig, just to make sure it’s dead - dead).

  2. Mud?!? TF is that?!

  3. Oh look, AI’s in the base, I better run from them.

  4. Oh shit, Pred is here, better run in the building with 3 of my fellow noobz and hold onto each others dicks, praying to my console God that Pred and AI’s are gonna run away.

  5. This one is spicy…mmm…spicy…oh…look red barrel and my friends standing close to it, I better defend them from that barrel. DIE BARREL BAM BAM KABOOM

My friends died from explosion, oh well, time to leave the match while I’m still alive.

This is literally my experience from playing with randoms.

Edit

If you guys want me to make that hilarious vid about doing everything wrong, hit that like / heart “button”. I’m really interested to see how many of you wanna see it. xD

I feel ya man. It’s insane some of the shit they do sometimes and you’re sitting there just like “Well…fuck”

2-3 days ago, I went to play some hunt quick games, to get the daily.
Got 3 PS4 players, Pred on PS4.
I picked the closest spawn point to the base where the mission is and you know how quickly you can get to where you must go, from spawn to the base. Takes like what, a minute tops, probably less than that.
These dudes didn’t even manage to get to the base, got killed by Pred and I just left the game.
Total idiots man.

Curious, after these tutorials.

Will you do more advanced tutorials?
Yah know, for more tactical teams?

Positions, Proper Baiting, Aggro control and Call outs?

Bro there are tons of videos on youtube. I even did a sniper loadout video, not to mention Field Medic, Predators gameplay etc. It won’t help anyone, I tried.

Honestly that’s not really what I’m trying to do. I felt Illfonic really did a bad job as far as giving fireteam basic instructions on the mechanics and that’s all I really wanted to do.

I’m just trying to cover the basics and let players figure the rest out on their own especially since that’s the real fun.

They could easy implement a gameplay or even a video showing some basic stuff.
Like mudding up etc, some basics.
There is a tutorial but it’s written and I’m guessing nobody even reads that.

Props to you bro for trying to help, but unless someone pins your tutorials in this forum, they will be forgoten and overshitted by some meaningless threads.

You ain’t wrong.

Posted a few times and even asked them on the livestream if they’d ever incorporate a FT tutorial and the answer i got was “it’s kinda self explanatory”.
I posted them here and on the subreddit and that’s about all I can do for exposure. I’m open to suggestions as far as getting people to see them.

I wouldn’t call it self explanatory at all. I mean, sure, everyone knows how to reload a gun and that stuff, but mud up, pigs and that stuff, you don’t have that in other FPS games.

My suggestion would be, a short video explaining the basics. Now you probably wonder why short and why basic.

Short, 'cause ppl don’t really watch long videos ( over 5 minutes long ).
Basic 'cause most ppl understand basic stuff, like point your camera at the ground ( mud ) and hold F until the yellow circle is full.

That kind of basic. I know it sounds stupid, but you’ll be amazed about how something simple to you, can be complicated for others.

And I wanna add that I’m not saying this 'cause it’s my opinion, I’m laying these facts from my YouTube experience as a content creator. Ppl like something that’s short, funny and simple to follow.

Well I’ve got 3 up I feel hit those criteria. It’s all I can do

You did “your job” and respect for that.
If I had your vids when I started, I wouldn’t spend so much time at watching who knows how many vids just to understand some stuff.
Because let’s be real, everyone wants to watch Predator ripping spine’s, but nobody really wanna watch someone shoot with the rifle.

I just add:

5 . Hey let me use my mic to speak loud as fuck, I don’t care the Predator can see our location…
6. Specialization? What is that? Something we can eat?

Yeah, THE OPEN MIC. xD

Legendary accessory to every OG potato, how could I forget that?!

About specialization, I’ve heard from PS players that’s actually hard to spot so that’s why many of them don’t even have it.

I don’t know if that’s true, I’m on PC and it’s easy to see it.

If you remember some more potato feats / skillz, add them, I’ll make sure to make a list and do it by the list. I’m probably gonna laugh my ass off while recording. xD

I mean I’ve covered

Specializations

Camping (Solo and as a team)

Mud

Spotting

STAY TOGETHER (really emphasized that)

Reviving teammates (when to vs. When not to)

Breaking contact with buildings

Chasing the Pred in second wind

Parry

Reinforcements (Plus when they’re trapped and when you split up to reinforce)

The new proximity mine detector and EMP

Sound Bubbles and open mics

Cooking grenades

Movement speed

Bomb defusal

When the Predator disconnects he’s still in game

And finding the Predator by sound.

That’s all I could really think about. I did my best to give the best examples I could find from my gameplay. Again it could be the greatest instructions of all time it don’t mean a thing if nobody see it. You’ve got an established audience and some cred so you can probably do a lot better getting it out there.

That’s alot to cover and you’re a good player from what I’ve seen so I’m sure you did a great job.
True also. Funny thing how YouTube works.

On one video (Dutch gameplay) I have 10k views, Recon Sniper gameplay, like 150 views, it’s totally random.
YouTube’s algorithm works in a way that it will always push big channels and their content, while doing literally nothing for smaller channels.

To the point where my subs don’t even know that I’m uploading video’s. You can often see bigger channels ( 100 - 200k subs ) that have average views of 2-3k views per video.

Some people say “oh it’s a dead channel” or “he/she bought his/her subs” and you can hear all kinds of bs. The truth is, it’s just YouTube and their f’d up system that does nothing for smaller channels.

My point is, sure I can make and upload tutorials or help you out in anyway, but that doesn’t guarantee us views nor it guarantee us that some new players will actually see it.

I’ll try to get in touch with at least a mod here or on reddit and ask if it’s possible ( it’s possible, it’s just a matter of if they wanna do it ) to pin your tutorials. That way, videos are always gonna be up somewhere pinned and easy to see / check out.

Ya this happens to much

Lol 😂

It’s not even funny anymore tbh. xD This actually turned me off from the game.
I play enough matches to get the daily and then I quit and play something else.
These past few days I was using meme builds and I still came on top damage wise and xp wise.
While I’m doing mission alone in the base + killing AI’s, 2 potatoes are running to revive the guy who left the game and that’s only one example of how stupid some ppl are.

Ya I sometimes wonder if we are playing with bots
