FT: What's this...find a nook and endless mud up "tatics"

Hello All,

How are you doing all around the world?

I decided to share in here an experience I had whilst playing earlier today which I found to be odd and to get your impressions if you have experienced the same or what are your thoughts on it.

Before someone goes mad…yes, yes, I am aware one can play the game the way s/he wants…with mud up, no mud up, collecting/not collecting “diamonds” or whatsoever they’re calling, but…

Today I played a fews hours as a FT member–with public “randoms”, got from very good to very bad matches and that’s fine, actually have some thrills and laughs, until…

Got in a Match, starting point the “Fishermen village”.
I see two of FT members veering away from the objective and they came alive in via mic and I praphrase in here: “So, we’re not doing the mission, actually join us, we gonna find a nook, hide in there, mud up all time, until the Predator comes by so we can ambush it”.

I do not find it any attractive, I asked if there was any trophy they were after by using such tatics, the answer was a “no, we just wanna hunt the Predator down…”

The other FT member and myself, actually decide to keep with the mission, so we went a good length with some cool exchange with the Predator…but we died.

Now, out of curisioty, I watched my team members, the ones in the nook, they’re maddly mudding up but standing crouched under one of the “village’s house”. Mission Reinforcement available but…

So it’s 12min already, Predator didn’t pass by, or at least from their nook they couldn’t spot it…
Matches end…two fireteam members spent the entire match crouched, hidden in a nook, mudding up…XP count minimal… and they got mad at the Predator that didn’t want to “play” for real and “engage with them”.

Honestly, this is so odd for me, I do not even see the point of doing it…

I am all for chasing the Predator as long the opportunity is presented whilst as a Fireteam we’re try to complete out objectives, it’s a consequence of playing… but spend a full match, doing nothing but mudding up…I do not understand…

Weirdly enough, I chatted with a few people that told me, apparently this is the “thing” now to do and more often are matches like that…this was the first for me…

How abot you guys? What do you think of it? Do you do it as Fireteam?

id say that will get old fast for them. dont worry about it. its just kids trying to be edgy and cool lol it will soon go away as a ‘tactic’.

The odd part: they raged at the Predator :D for not engaging them :D what the heck! :D

They’re just idiots who don’t understand the game mechanics. If they really wanted to set a trap 3 people would stay mudded up at 3 different points shaped like a triangle while the one person who isn’t mudded stays in the dead center as bait.

It’s unlikely an experienced predator would fall for it though.

Lol… Sounds like two 12 year boys that have been watching to many YouTube videos of the game were actually scared to come out and play.

P.S.
That won’t last if it is the latest “thing” … Wait to actually get into a game then do nothing… Lol

Hold on, they did everything they could to avoid being found by the predator then got mad at the predator for not finding them?

how did they expect the predator to even find them if they just hid in the one spot and constantly put mud on?

Exactly, and of course the voice over a mic might be deceiving …but they sounded well grown-up :D

I see it all the time. Mainly at the same area you speak of. Yes it can be dealt with sometimes, but other times it’s near impossible to find them. This doesn’t make for a fun match that I just waited 10+ minutes to get in to. I could care less about XP or Veritanium. I just want to have a fun, proper Predator match.

I sympathize with those guys. I started hunting lions a long time ago and they haven’t found me yet so I’m a little angry about that. I’ve been sitting in my apartment and they haven’t shown up yet. Will update you guys when they do.

do not see anything wrong on how thy want to play out a match if the pred was decent he would fall for it and there is always a way to spot them the second you use your target isolation thy become visible untill thy re mud so you have a few second to see where thy hide til thy re mud

I kinda get it. They wanna kill the pred. I had one match where 3 players went inside a trailer and just stayed there for the entire match waiting for me to run in there. I didnt. I stood right outside waiting for them.

The timer ran out and I won. But they werent pissed off one of them was just like, why didn’t you run in, we only have a minigun and a shotgun lol.
I told em, fk dat yall, the ft is overpowered, yall hit too hard.
But it was pretty funny cause the whole time we kept spamming vgms at each other.

So the whole time when I wasnt just blasting the trailer we kept going back and forth with, “what is is this shit?”

I had a good laugh anyway.

Yeah see… I fucked myself cause i threw a bear trap by the door, but it hit the wall and that red circle made it impossible to get a line of sight. But I dont regret that match. I think both sides had fun spamming vgms.
