This ones gonna be a long one, but I feel like I need a place that sums it all up instead of all over the place via replies.
So basically, the only late game currently for people at level 100 is varitanium and crates. And it’s no secret that it’s a drag. The rewarding and late-game part of the game is non-existent currently.
It is my firm belief that not only the crates should be adjusted, but also the Varitanium profit. It has to be made to where people can actually play the game rather than farm in order to get rewarded.
So to start, Varitanium. There is simply not enough of it unless you explore the map in its entirety every match. There needs to be a reward system for both Fireteam members and predators.
For fireteam, there need to be Varitanium rewards based on the condition of the body you secure from killing a predator. It would go as follows.
-Heavily Damaged: 500 Varitanium
-Moderate damage: 1000 Varitanium
-Light damage: 1500 Varitanium
-Prestine Condition: 2000 Varitanium and possibly a field blocker.
For the optional drop pod, that item, if you manage to exfill with it, should be more substantial. Either 1000 Varitanium or a field locker.
I personally feel the drop system should be removed entirely but if it has to stay, give the drops set values.
-Blue: 25
-Dark Purple: 100
-Light purple (Brick): 500
Itd be cool if OWLF recordings after you’ve collected them all turn into a varitanium drop worth 1000. Also, adding a yellow (Mythical) drop of veritanium would work the same way as an OWLF recording and if you manage to escape with it, itd give you 5,000 Varitanium. Of course this is ONLY if the loot system has to stay.
For Predator, there needs to be Varitanium rewards based on trophies collected. Itd go as follows.
-Quick Claim- 250 Varitanium each
-Long Claim (Full Trophy)- 500 Varitanium each
This would allow a predator to get 3,500 Varitanium max for 7 full trophies, and also encourage predators to play for full trophies.
Now for the crates, oh boy the crates…
I personally think the drop rates arent necessarily the problem, given that you dont have to pay actual money for them. BUT the dupes are definitly the problem. It should be reworked to where you do not get a dupe unless you have EVERY item of that rarity, then its be fine to start dishing out dupes. Keep the drop rates for the rarities the same, but make it to where people can ACTUALLY get new stuff and feel rewarded for the gameplay. If a tweak is needed to be done to drop rates, we’d know if this all was implemented and we could go from there.
I applaud anyone who reads this, and hope that yall find this idea plausible and give it some headway so we can start making progress to a more rewarding late game for the bois out there. XD
