The only noteworthy thing about Terminator Salvation is Christian Bale’s infamous outburst.
That movie was terrible. What a waste of the future war concept. Doesn’t even remotely come close to the dreary, hopeless depiction we saw in James Cameron’s flashbacks/forwards.
Both of these franchises have been tarnished due to hacks like that.
After The Predator slaughtering this franchise, I would not expect any movies at all. If a series would come out, It would be nice to have it based on this game, quz its faitful to the lore and tells an interesting story. 100% better than The Predator. Mayby even better than Predators.

And for the sake of it and to maybe build up another aliens vs predator movie (done better), have Dutch involved in the process that was used as the foundation of the colonial marines getting formed? The reboot and predators could easily be at the same time, lightyears apart but relevant, colonial marines could ahev even been formed after new Mexico and L.A? Abductions of soldiers vanishing into thin air for the hunting preserve would surely catch owlf/stargazers attention
No need for reboots. The films are all essentially standalone pieces anyway (new characters/Preds).
I’d like a return to the simple concept of the hunt. If I were writing one I’d set it in the Middle East and base it around US forces fighting the Taliban, with the Pred then getting involved and picking off people from both sides until the last couple of guys from either side have to work together to take down the Pred. You could also swap US/Taliban for Allied/Nazis and set it in WW2, or any other opposing forces from other conflicts.

Let’s face it lads they don’t make movies like the original anymore. The 80s and 90s spoiled us with classics, now we get global warming/autism, jesus look at culture just in the last 5 years, if they made a predator movie tomorrow it would have a black lives matter message engrained in it. Terminator was sold out to modern day feminism that pisses all over Ripleys and Sarah Connors woman empowerment of the 80s and 90s

I’m not going to lie. A lot of you sound delusional about what the Predator franchise is. You guys act like it’s some deep thought out franchise with nuance. Predator (1987) was a fluke lightning in a bottle film. While I enjoy every film after they’re all lazy not very thought out cash grabs. Predator 2 was lazy, AvP/Requiem are dumpster fires, Predators was more of the original but not as good or charming, and The Predator was a straight to VHS ScyFy original. I love them all and watch them from time to time. The problem with this franchise is that much of the good shit is comic/book form. I love the Concrete Jungle game but the story is worse than The Predator. Hollywood doesn’t have the stomach to take a risk on connecting a Predator with the comics/books because the general public won’t know or care what’s happening and the movie will flop.
Again, I love this franchise but at the moment there is no way I can see them making a great film that will attract audiences and get the franchise on it’s feet again. I’m happy Disney is doing something with the franchise and am eagerly awaiting the next installment but NO ONE should be holding their breath for it to be a good film. Especially if Tarantino is directing… great director but not for a sci fi action/thriller.
Predator 2 in a whole different setting that was responsible for all the expansion on predator lore/worldbuilding without murdering it with awful ideas like The Predator did…was lazy?
