Future of the game

How do you think the game and player base will look after the dlc and potentially big bug fixing patch this week? Here’s my worries.

If the dlc doesn’t at least have a map then it’s poor. Some tapes, 2 weapons and a skin is not a good dlc.

We need maps and game modes. I know that the pandemic is gonna be affecting the devs but surely they’ve at least got a map they can give us. Another month of the same 3 maps will get boring.

The game is already losing players. Only about 40% of players have even reached level 25 and only 19% of players have hit level 50.

That means that the majority of people who bought the game have given up after a few hours of gameplay as that’s all it takes to hit level 25.

Also if 80% of players haven’t hit level 50 yet then that means only the remaining 20% are playing regularly.

Good content and big fixing is needed fast.

I’m honestly nervous that it’ll only be the tapes and skin and weapons for Dutch. No maps, game modes, and worst of all no patch or fixes. 😬

I agree that a lot hinges on this first content update.

Will it be a light weight pay to win?

Will there be bug fixes?

Will there be new content? (cosmetics and audio tapes do not count as content in my opinion)

Will balance issues be addressed?

I think there will be a proper patch with the dlc which is why we haven’t had any more hotfix updates.

I really think a 4th map could make it last till next month when hopefully there will be game modes too. Only issue with new game modes is that it will split the already small player base between them.

Those players numbers are concerning though.

If only 20 percent of the people who bought the game are playing regularly then we need a lot of fixes and solid content soon or the player base will drop even more.

Player count by date don’t lie. There is no drop in players. We are gaining daily. Regardless of what the dumbasses like @DeadEyeBuddha say. That’s not sales, just daily play on PS4.

On trophies only 19% of players are at level 50. Even a poor player would be level 50 after a few rounds every couple of days since launch. What I’m saying is we don’t have enough regular players to keep it going unless they improve the game.

I think a lot of those players you’re seeing are people buying the game. Playing a few rounds then giving up.

I play matches against new players daily, we talk over comms, they love the game. I haven’t heard anyone say they hate it while getting their asses handed to them. They usually ask for tips to get better.

The amount of people earning trophies on ps4 doesn’t make the numbers look good.
