Sometimes when you are jumping from tree to tree and you miss a branch you land on the ground. Then are stuck as if you are on a tree branch and can’t jump or sprint.

double tap the drop button and it will fix it

Yes, if you double tap the key/button to dismount the game will set you back to normal pathing.
Still, this is a bug and it should be notated and corrected.
