"Game is dead" dont know what they're saying

The game is not dead, guys. It’s something so new and so unique to play as the Predator that everyone is queing to play as him rn. Add to that some network problems and maybe a couple of glitches and you’ll get the long 15-20 min times.

Fireteams are always full of people and I’ve never had a problem finding matches, so stop saying the game is Dead, because It clearly isnt.

Hopefully the devs will have a patch ready to fix the network issues and some bugs related to matchmaking soon, give it time.

The game is far from dead and a lot of people are having fun with it. These forums have become an
echo chamber of negativity, unfortunately. Some people just seem to underestimate the amount of work that goes into fixing and implementing. Especially doing it right. Not everyone will be happy, sadly. It’s a shame to see so many people bashing rather than praising Illfonic for the hard work they’re doing. F13 had a fast turn around, this will too. It just needs the support from the community and fans, rather than the opposite.

I’m hitting the pause button on playing for a bit to see if predators get a buff.

I play mostly fireteam and the predator is basically a non factor at this point. Too easy to kill, can hear him instantly and see his cloak from a mile away. No challenge.

Definitely want to play more but as it is I havent lost a single match in over four days as fireteam so the appeal really isnt there.

That’s the best thing to do. Especially if you’re wanting to enjoy something and feeling burnt out. That’s a shame, I’ve definitely been a part of more games where the Fireteam wins. But the amount of Predator wins isn’t far behind it TBH. At least in my experience.

This game is dieing because of the unbalance it needs to get fixed ASAP

A buff? Are you kidding? A predator can destroy a full team in seconds with the right weapons even if the team is a firing directly at it and landing 85% of their shots.

Game is super unbalanced and if it stays that way it will die quickly.

It also doesn’t help that there’s only a couple maps, nobody actually plays as a team and uses ping, there is no mantling in a shooter released in 2020… There’s tons of bugs and the player pool is limited because it’s a Sony exclusive and pc users already have plenty of games that play like this and have more polish.

The predator license will only sell so many copies and looking at matchmaking times when 90% of people are literally stuck at home… That’s not a good sign. It shouldn’t take 2+ min to find a match right after launch with this many people bored at home.

Well based on their past history with patches and bugs… It might take infinite time.

No offense to the devs, I like their stuff and I’ll stick around. I back f13 and still play it despite it’s many issues but I also saw a bunch of stuff that shouldn’t ever happen.

Hopefully HOPEFULLY sony keeps supporting the game unlike no man’s sky. The devs shouldn’t be using their own money on fixes when Sony contracted them to make the game.

Sometimes when I see those threads. I wonder how many of those are started by competing devs from other games? Like. You know the DBD devs have been on here trying to undermine their only other PC competition.

Well, they’re a small team. I don’t think people realize how small they are and how long some fixes can take. If they’re even in scope that is.

Yeah, I know, I have fallen into this pit myself. It’s a great game, just needs some fixes here and there. I believe this could be nominated or win the game of the year award.

Nah man. Preds havent wiped my fireteam games in too long. Not since launch. He’s a joke through and through.

its definitely winding down compared to just a couple days ago. i used to get in matches as pred every 5 minutes. now at this time of day over 30 minutes canceling and retrying after every 10 and just got put in a lobby with 1 other person so have to restart. It’s just not worth my time as much as I love Predator. Ok play as fireteam? I will leave that to the people that rather play fireteam over predator. If it is not designed in a way to have the proportional amount of people interested in playing fireteam to those interested in Predator then queues will be fucked. It was their job to design it that way.

everyone wants to play pred i know. there is definitely some drop off. I’m sure there weren’t that many players to begin with. I wouldn’t go so far as saying this game is dying but it was seriously crippled at birth. people who arent die hards will drop it and match times will just be fucked. I love the game and wish it the best but based on what is available at launch and who it caters to its going to be niche and will end up in private lobbies IMO.

I played a bunch of dead by daylight when Michael Myers came out and never cared if I had to queue as a survivor or killer. As annoying as that game can be both sides had a thrill i enjoyed.

I should add that is not what I hope for this game. I would be overjoyed to be wrong in my speculation.

f13 has been filled with hacking for the past year and half , it never got better and the abusive glitches jason was able to do are still a thing in game. This game is dead , states are opening back up soon and their player base is gonna die just from ppl working again not alone all the problems with the game already and there are problems on both sides of the coin its not just FT , pred needs serious reworks to be effective and FT can literal run up one man and kill the pred if he isnt paying attention to the entire team, the cloaks so bad and has graphical glitchs you can run up on them and kill them before most preds realize whats going on assuming they dont have a zen pointed at them as well , 1 on 1 pred can win melee 2v1 becomes a problem and dont come at me with the combi stick stuff , if you know its range you can work around that with a 2nd person and mess the pred up. Skilled players will take advantage of any game mechanic broken or not , pred should be fixed to the point FT doesnt want to go “pred hunting”

Maybe just haven’t gone against the right pred yet? It’s more difficult on preds going against cohesive teams especially with a lot of em just blindly melee rushing.

I never wanted the game to fail, nor did i think it was dead or should be dead…
I want this game to be better, And that cant happen if it dies before its had time to grow…

If I havent gone against a good pred yet then that means only a tiny tiny amount of them are good. I’ve played a good big chunk of games and its just too skewed against them.

The most effective preds are the ones that dont even use the cloak and just plasma blast from as far as they can before running off. Even then we still get sniper shots off on him. Even then I still havent lost a match to a pred since launch day.
