its fine, is it thermal throttling? just set a decent fan curve. most stock fan curves are way too slow and let it get too hot.
my 2060 is overclocked to fuck 2100mhz , pulling near 240watts from a single 6pin lol

my gtx 1080 has 80 degrees…by the way yesterday I gave a new thermal paste…

using a lot of GPU power is a good thing. its using the hardware to its fullest!
It would be worse if it was running bad but not even using 100% of the gpu. thats unoptimised in the engine / api draw calls limit or CPU bottleneck.
The game needs some optimisation tweaks yeah but using all of the GPU is a good thing.

exactly, GPU CAN’T damage its self with temperature it will just throttle.
so its not destroying anything its not possible.
still shouldnt be running at 74 celcius in main menu thats dumb as fuck
the main menu renders large detailed high resolution models thats why. It uses very high resolution shadow maps and very high quality lighting.
If you are waiting for a game just enter the “extras” menu while you wait, that will let the GPU cool down.
Does it matter if the temps are safe?
just dont want my gpu running at full load while not even playing the game and waiting 10 hours just to get into a fucking match thats all
