I have a couple ideas. Personally, I would love to see a single player campaign but I understand how intensive something like that is so sticking with the multiplayer modes, it would be nice to see modes where the end goal for the predator isn’t just to kill the fire team. For example:
A capture the flag style game mode where the map is littered with Yautja technology and the FT’s job is to acquire and store it in a lab. The Predator’s mission is to beat them to the technology and return it to his ship or failing that, break into the fireteam’s base of operations and destroy it. The fire team only needs to acquire and analyze a certain amount of tech to win so it gives them the option of splitting up to counteract the Predator’s speed and beat him to more tech or hunkering down with what they have and waiting out the clock. Respawns work as normal.
A search and destroy style mode. The Fire Team has captured a Predator and managed to defuse it’s self-destruct. The player predator is dispatched to find the Predator body and gear and re-activate it’s self-destruct capability. The Fire Team enters the game before the predator and have the option of setting up wherever they want and waiting for evac. The catch is that their resources are already badly depleted from capturing the first Predator. Perhaps No ammo drops and one or two heals to be used across the entire team. Alternatively, they can attempt to double down and chase the new predator and bring it’s body in as well for more XP.
For more modes that put the Predator and FT in direct conflict, a Last Stand Mode where the game proceeds as normal until a single Fire Team member is left. Instead of this member calling for reinforcements, the last member has the option to run to a “retreat” objective. If they make it, they have the option to make their “last stand” against the Predator. They get a certain amount of time (perhaps 2-3 minutes, adjusted for balancing) to rig the jungle or whatever environment with as many traps as possible (pitfalls, tripwires, booby trapped perch points, swinging logs, pulled branches armed with knives, and even an option to activate a fire trap a la Predators ) and equip themselves as best they can before the Predator shows up. The Predator gets to reload their own tools before taking on the last FT member and has the option of removing their bio mask for a small boost (enhanced damage, speed, etc). This could also be a standalone mode separate from the regular affair altogether.
My last idea, (for now) would be an Escape Mode where the roles reverse. A Predator awakens in a Stargazer research lab with all of their weapons stripped. Similar to The Predator (The weakest movie in the series but still a source of inspiration. His or her objectives are to kill the NPC scientists around them, locate their equipment, call in their ship and escape the facility. The FT is replaced by Stargazer security armed with Tranquilizer Rifles with stashes of lethal weaponry throughout the lab. Their objective is to find and subdue the Predator before it escapes from the facility. Bonuses for Predators that can escape without finding all of their equipment or manage to kill the Stargazers while unarmed. Bonuses if the Stargazers can win without resorting to lethal methods.
