Games are too short

Games now are just too short. The problem is that Fire Team has capacity to run between locations very very quickly. I mean after one encounter I got to heal and before I finish healing they are requesting reinforcement some mile away from previous location.

I had few games with recon only and these games lasted between 3-4 minutes. All you could do is just watch them running.
Waiting for 5-10 mins to watch someone run through missions is not something of a high interest. The missions are bland, there are no patrols AI pose no challenge to anyone including Predator and Fire Team just run in into a camp, pop few AIs and move to another location.
The only way you can slow down Fire Team is to give them sense that they want to hunt you and you are weak, but most don’t care about hunting Predator and just run through missions.
Some missions are in the same camp and reinforcement locations are conveniently located right next to helicopter extraction.
Fire Team’s stamina regen is just too quick and gives no challenge in character management, unlike Predator where you have to manage stamina, health, energy, ammo, heal, stealth, noise, running speed, aim, tactics, vision, seeking.

You hear Fire Team always being exhausted, but it does not prevent them to repeat their sprint in 4-5 seconds and shooting you with an eagle eye precision like, while being exhausted is super man like.
Jungle poses no threat to Fire Team, I don’t remember one single time I engaged Fire Team in the jungle. Simply because they cross it way too quick.

So something has to be done to their stamina regen and running speeds(don’t start me on running with a net on you), especially recon and scout classes except may be for support, as they are always the odd ones left behind.
Of course there has to be more missions and they should last longer and be interesting for Fire Team to perform.

I personally dont agree with allot of what you said, but i really like the idea of the fireteam having more competition in the jungles between objectives.

Right now i feel like games only last long if i decide to drag them out, so having the fireteam have to slow down in the jungle would be a good inclusion.

I think they can do a few things to make the game more challenging for the FT:

  1. Add the original number of AI back
  2. Increase the damage AI deals
  3. Only show AI on minimap if they are shooting
  4. Have AI appear in areas that are not just bases

Absolutely agree. I am very glad that at least someone other than me noticed this problem. The time-lapse of matches is very short due to the fact that the TF is running as if under speed play Quake. What s**t.

100% agree. i feel bad for the pred players that have to wait 10+ minutes just to make it into a game that lasts 3 lol i feel like just the way the combat is makes it too fast, not to mention how fast the ft objectives are.

both the ft and pred move too fast, imo. it goes from the pred slowly stalking to just all-out frantic bunny-hopping and parrying attempts in a matter of seconds. i get they wanna have tension and have the ft fear the pred, but it seems like too much fear is based on the pred just instantly wiping everyone due to melee rushes.

the game’s atmosphere is great when the pred is stalking and observing, and when they’re using ranged stuff from the trees, and gadgets with hit and run tactics, but more often than not, it’s just the pred running in for a quick melee rush to wipe the ft out in a few seconds.

My thinking is there needs to be a cooldown between objectives. Just a couple minutes. This would allow the Fireteam time to kill AI, look for Veritanium, while the Predator has time to plan the next ambush. Or just have a battle between objectives. Just chasing Fireteam from one objective to the next objective in quick succession just isn’t very fun. A cooldown would be much easier to implement than adding or changing objectives. Also, longer time limit would be needed (20 mins)

Fireteam movement speed is crazy high. This is another one of those things the Reviewers, youtubers, and Influencers have been repeating sense the beta…
(This and Fireteam needs incentive to complete missions rather than hunt the Pred)

But it seems to be falling upon def ears… 🤷🏻‍♂️

I fully agree. Sometimes I wonder if I’m playing Quake.

FT just needs more reason to be longer in one area mid game and have tasks spread around the map.

They should not be able to rush through all objectives under 3 minutes.

And I had to wait +10 minutes to get a game :/

I Agree becausei think this game will be dead soon fancy releasing a game that feel like were still playing a demo lol we need at least 30 minutes in game time and more Ai and objectives for the ft and objectives for the predator cause right now its an empty arcade game, they have been better of just creating one massive jungle map and having all the 3 small jungle maps they created in that massive jungle map with a waterfall from the 87 movie that you can jump down from, this game has so much potential but im seeing many signs saying what you see is what you get.

Absolutely. 30min. matches + some% movement speed reduction for everyone would be the best I think, and yes maybe more objectives.
More enjoyable and strategic hunt for Predators, more tension& adventure for the Fire Team

I will say now, as a FT main, I with all effort, try to get out of the jungle as fast as possible. I do not want to have a firefight in there and I will even kite around to a more open location just to make sure I have the advantage so yes. The FT (or at least I) move with all haste when in jungle, even avoiding shooting at the pred to get out quicker.

May explain why FT always crosses jungle terrain quickly…

the ft’s stamina does seem to be a bit redundant atm lol you get “exhausted” for, like, 2 seconds and then you’re back up at full again.

as for longer matches, that’d be great but what happens when someone ragequits?
