Gaming modes

Hello All,

I’ve posted something similar previously but it seems here should be a best section once they are more of a suggestion.

Considering that at the current stage players spend more time “queueing” rather than “playing” perhaps adding “game-modes” could at least enhance the “playing” time.

  1. Rematch option
After a match is over all participants should be prompted with a vote option to “rematch” at least once–this way we could avoid going through the entire process of matchmaking, placing, etc. And hopefully get into a match within a few seconds.
This benefit people that are often playing with “randoms”.

  2. 3-match-mode
This one would benefit Predator players the most.
You have a set consisting of 3 matches with the very same people, the ones winning two matches win the set. This again would allow less time queueing and more playing.
As I read most Predator players complain they wait up to 10min and get into a match that ends under 3 min. At least with a 3-match-mode, a Predator player would know that the 10min queueing time is for 3 matches in row, without matchmaking, placing etc in between.

Of course, I have no clue whether the implementation of such features are feasible in an easy manner or require entire new architecture.

Those sound like the easiest things to implement compared to other stuff suggested on the forum. But it sounds like to me you’ve wanted a rematch a few times lol.

Actually no :)
My point of the rematch isn’t about “hey I lost but if we play again I can win etc”. It just seems to me, it is way easier to be able to “play again”-- if you prefer–as there’s already a full team set up, cutting off all the matchmaking etc.

So you might call it “Play Again” feature instead of “rematch”

This is definitely something they need to add. There’s time when I’ve been part of a really good Fireteam, and would have liked to have played with them again. Maybe a system where you keep track of people you’ve played with, so you can highlight players for future matches so when the matchmaking process is happening it prioritises players you’ve highlighted in the search?? But a rematch option is a MUST. Good call👍🏼

Yeo a friends-list or players-I-met would also be a great affition. Very good point

Lmao. Im just too lazy to wait for the matchmaking after every game so a rematch would be good. But would rematch remove potentially 5 players from the queue, making matchmaking longer if for some reason I do not want rematch with the same players?? Or will these “rematching” players be inconsequential in the matchmaking queue?

Sorry If I open a can of worms 😅

Good feedback. The option should be a vote just like in GTA. I doubt that the rematch option should lengthen queue. Most people might want to replay once before moving on. This would mainly happen with public randoms; most people would not continue to select rematch as private match already exists.

You made a great point. This is the very reason you select Private Match first. Those guys on the other end of a MatchMaking session are pretty much OUT of your life automatically and that was the reason for its implementation. You are not the matchmaker, the system is .

I haven’t found out how to use private match

I believe it shouldn’t mess with the matchmaking in general as it would still be accepting and placing people joining the queue. I believe the rematch would create a temporary ‘private’ section with “randoms” as long every participant voted for a “rematch”.

I, for one, am playing mostly with ‘randoms’, as the game didn’t appeal to most of my friends :( so no private matches. But sometimes I have a good match and it would be nice to play again with the same people straight away–but match ends, we disband, then I do not remember how exactly a player name was to search in PSnetwork then send a friend request, the person may not want to add someone in their friends for x reasons…and I end up queueing again…

Not sure if I explain it well, apologies if no…
