Actually given the attitude some of the Comanche showed torqards her earlier in the film showed she wasn’t liked alot.

I haven’t seen the English version yet as I wanted the more immersive Comanche dub that sells the whole thing, especially since the trappers speak in French which is why I ask do the Frenchies speak English in the English version? Because one huge annoyance is that we got no subs for them when they speak French. Wanted to know what they were saying.

I like it since it gives us the same feeling naru had. Complete ambiguity.
Goddammit…well I’m all about ambiguity but for this time I wasn’t on board with that one. I was curious to hear how did they know of the Predator’s existence, giving that they were planning to capture it? Like how did they get the blood and even know about what it looks like or what it even does? Wish they said something about how it hunted their scouts and found their bodies skinned hanging from trees.
Which btw, there is a lack of skinned bodies hanging from trees and human skulls being removed in the film, a huge letdown on that front.
not woke, but it didn’t sell me on the female warrior aspect, she should be more fit or rugged, she looks like she binges netflix or something. shes not even toned. she is skilled because her brother taught her? well fine but there is still a huge gap between that and an actual warrior with time and experience. I can’t get past the axe rope thing either… sooo bad. even if she is great at axe throwing, suddenly just whipping it back and forth with ease, no mess-ups… that would take years to learn. they should have just made her awesome at throwing axes and left it at that. i also can’t imagine anyone actually squaring off against a lion while up on a tree branch.
I didn’t realize this was a documentary about real life and not a movie about a 8ft tall super advanced alien…

Are we going to ignore the fact that she did nothing?
The universe still runs on logic. If the movie wants to establish changes to physics that’s fine but predator never has aside from some questionable biology and metals. But human biology hasn’t changed.
I really like how the movie represents Indian culture and language. I can’t believe there is an entire dub of the movie in Comanche. Amazing.
I just wish the movie had a little more action and the Predator wasn’t cloaked so much. I hope there is a sequel.

i liked most of the movie, i can not like things about it too. i think an 8ft alien should be taken down by a formidable opponent, or smarter is fine too, but the ending fight was basically 1 on 1, and she just picks away at him while he stands there, and then gets killed by his own weapon? a little indian girl vs a predator would be a short fight… well used to be anyway, i guess now predator is no match for 100lb girl with a hatchet. got it.
To list one of my nitpicks with the movie to come off as more fair, I do think the tone was a little off despite it being a return to form. Like 1 & 2 are very over the top movies with a LOT of iconic lines & funny moments (From the I ain’t got time to bleed to City Hunter bursting out of an Old Lady’s bathroom and Harrigan chasing after him, AND EVERY SCENE OF GARY FUCKING BUSEY) and Prey does take itself a LITTLE too seriously. Like it could lighten up a tiny bit & do some over the top stuff. But it’s really just a nitpick because it’s still easily Top 3.
Just slightly weird to go from “Over the Top Arnie Flick” to “Over the Top Cop Flick” to “Emotional Native Drama”

It’s because feral got shot in the back of the head and got brain damage, so he wasn’t thinking strait.
So you can’t really separate the brain like i will, but the cognitive centers are more in the front. There may be indirect damage to them from the force. Vision centers and in the back and motor tracts could be effected too. We would need an anatomists and physiologist to really explain how that would effect Feral. He was slower, but otherwise i didnt really see any focal or general decline in function. I’m not taking it lightly because it’s a ‘shot to the head!’, but just saying ‘brain damage’ thus he becomes and idiot is undercutting it. If anything he was in fight or flight and was acting on instinct the best he could.
I’m not saying he was an idiot but if anything got shot in the head then it would be slower and easier to beat.
I would think so too, still it’s an overwhelming challenge for Naru. Perhaps the fight seven could have been constructed better in the final sequence, but it’s a tough task regardless.
It could have bin better like Naru could have at least bin injured in the arm or something from feral as a result.
