Down the FT as much as possible from ranged attacks before going in for a head-on attack. If you down them enough, you’ll get a permanent marker on them for tracking them easily, and if you get behind them you can do a quick stealth kill for in-and-out deadly encounters.

Dont claim.
Not worth it.

is that th skull thing ?

really damn i thought that was what you were supposed to do since i see all the pred claiming rip

No, it’s an alternative for killing off FT members quickly without having to down them first.

so your talking about the stealth kill right. claiming when FT is wounded is still okay right ?

Claiming FT while they are down takes longer (you have to down them AND THEN claim them without instead downing them beforehand and claiming them later). Sure, it gives more xp, but it can get you killed or second-winded.

I’ll give you the best tip of them all…

whats the push to talk button for ps4

Try applying a more ranged based predator style. If ykur new and depemd on melee you get melted fastet than the time it took for you to que i as pred

Alpha Sickle is the best melee weapon currently, Plasma Caster - the best ranged weapon. Spear is amazing as a projectile. Bow is bugged beyond reason, so avoid it for now.
Medic and Large Pouch are still wonderful.
City Hunter is still the best class in game (IMHO).
But you go and try to figure out your own style.

any tips on a hyper aggressive fire team that is very accurate and good at spotting while also working really well together

Match starts hunt for reinforcements, lay traps or motion detectors, set off alarms for A.I to swarm F.T, kill pigs around the location of F.T, lure them with traps or plasma caster them to soften them up, if spotted run till the sweaty guy gets you then kill him or her, then wait till they try to respawn him and lay traps, then caster them or melee them after setting alarms

Ahoy, mate! Welcome!

City Hunter is the best Predator in the game currently. Hunter just behind him. Forget about Elder and Alpha for now, since you say you’re new.

A very solid loadout is half the battle. Hunters (City, regular.) have a neat perk combo of Modified Reserve and Light Bender that grants near infinite cloak. Now, if you use thermal vision a lot and plasma caster a lot, thosenwill drain the energy reserve. Just uncloak somewhere hidden to regain it as normal. Use thermal vision conservatively. Using the plasma caster cloaked, but not thermal vision gives you several uncharged shots before an energy overload. If you charge shots, you still get a couple, but not many.

Large pouch is very helpful, as boar spawns can be spotty. If you activate target ID asap in a match and you see a boar or two, kill them immediately. Use them ONLY if you must. Scannthe area around a fallen boar from a tree or other high spot before eating it. Some FTs like to camp near dead boars. Also, once you start eating, you CANNOT cancel it the way you can the healing kit. Therefore, some FTs come sprinting in to kill you when they hear boars being eaten. You are easy pickins while “pigging out.” Finally, when eating a boar, you automatically uncloak. This is dumb. Just recloak right away.

Weapons! The classics always included (wrist blades and plasma caster) almost never glitch and are a good combo. If you keep the caster equipped, but hit the fire button without aiming, you automatically swing the wrist blades. If you’re good enough, you can land quick shots with the caster and then swing away with the blades. Use only on assault, recon and scouts. If assaults use Deadly, avoid them.

The elder sword is the most dependable melee weapon currently. The full 5 hit combo is devastating and tracks pretty well. Even a hit and run style (running in, hitting a person twice, then leaping out) with the sword is effective to whittle down any FT member. Using this method with plasma caster shots from afar is a good way to harass the FT and drain their resources.

The net gun is a good tool too. Use it only when there’s only 1 or 2 FTs either alive or in an area at once. If the team is split up 3/1, net the loner and slash them up. If there’s 2, net both if possible so they can’t help each other. Or, net one and attack the loose one if you must. You’ll be forced to use wrist blades after netting most times as switching weapons is too slow most times.

Bear traps are very useful, but now a lot of FTs can see them and shoot them early. But, its still good to have. If you’re patient and quiet you can drop them around objectives, radios, etc. If set one by an ammo crate andnit catches a person, blow up the crate with the caster. Thats a two-fer. You can also drop traps from a tree just as FT is running beneath you for a few quick caster shots or arrows.

The hand held plasma caster is neat, but has its drawbacks. The pros: unlimited ammo and no energy reserve drain. You just have to reload after 6 shots. Decent damage. The cons: projectile drops significantly over distance. Semi-easy to spot shot origins (i.e. a good spotter will see the shots origin point and shoot there. ), slow like an actual six shooter. Loud AF.

The combistick is a good melee weapon because it can hit multiple targets with each swing. Sadly, its easy to parry. But you can throw it and unlike the smart disc, cannot be destroyed! A good head or chest hit with the combi stick will force FT to heal up, or soften them enough for a close up wrist blade kill. Unfortunately sometimes the stick when thrown goes all the way across the map and appears to be lost. Look for the white icon on the map.

I dont use the smart disc.

The club is an interesting weapon because its slow, but a beast. If you nail almost any FT, except a Support with the 3 hit combo, they almost always get downed. But its high risk. Once again, if you catch one alone, let em have it! Especially a scout or recon, provided you can catch them. For example, if you run a Hunter with a club, you’ll almost undoubtedly be able to chase one down and club them without needing extra stamina perks. But you’re more likely to die as a hunter due to the slower weapon speed. I have a Berserker with a club using impenetrable and adrenaline boost. So, Im kinda slow, but have extra energy to chase if need be or leap. Plus I’m a little more resistant to damage. The best way to use the club is to catch FT in a trap, then bludgeon them.

The bow (when it works properly) is fantastic. Its quiet, strong when charged and quick when not. And the only way to see it is when fully charged and looking directly at it (as FT) you can see a red light. Arrows are retrievable too.

I dont use the katana much. The combo of 2nd attack and 1st attack is mean though. Those who’ve mastered it are not to be trifled with.

The Alpha sickle is very good. Stronger than the elder sword, but a little slower. Very satisfying. A 3 hit combo almost kills an Assault.

The ax is woefully slow and has a shorter reach than you’d hope for. Damage is high, especially if you land an alternate attack and get a head shot. It’s crushes FT in that regard. I do have a build with the ax, but it’s more for farting around than playing for reals. It looks really cool though. Not for noobs.

The best thing you can be is patient. Whittle at and harass FT. Drain their resources. Blow up ammo crates and health kits. Set off camp alarms. If you can remember from your FT playthroughs certain mission conditions (i.e. a locked door here, some yellow drug barrels there, the trucks with the blue hoses, etc.) and you see them as Predator, you have a good idea what mission FT is doing and you can set traps, decoys etc accordingly. For example, last night an FT on Excavation had the job of destroying the little signal jammers. I heard the sounds the jammer made and knew how long it would take them to do certain things. Long story short, they never completed even the 1st objective. I messed them around so much that they reinforced, I killed 1 more, another guy quit and the timer ran out, giving me the win against 2 field medics, a reckless and an overseer.

Be satisfied with 1or 2 kills. Its better to survive. A reckless predator is a dead predator.

Only claim a skull when you’re sure it’s safe. Most times, just down a member and keep shooting them until they’re dead. ONLY long claim on the last FT member and if you’re above half health as the AI can kill you. Good luck!

Fire the plasma caster and run away when they shoot you. When they’re downed just keep firing it.

And thats how you play super fun highest DPS pred since they screwed all the other weapons.
