Give Illfonic a break!

Is the game perfect on release? No.
Are there bugs, exploits, glitches, etc? Yes.
Should there be more content? Yes

HOWEVER, with all of that said I have been having more instant, addictive, heart pounding adrenaline fun in this game than I have had in all of the CoDs and Battlefields of the last 5 years.

There’s something about this game that keeps me coming back even when I fail as the predator or get my spine ripped out in 2 minutes as FTs.

My entire childhood since I first saw Predator I’ve wanted a game that let me act out what I saw in that movie as the Predator. While it isn’t truly finished, it’s a damn good start to a game.

For a 73 person team, probably under serious and strict deadlines, it is amazing what they were able to push out by release date.

The combat is fast and fun and there are games where I feel my heart in my chest and my adrenaline pumping because I barely escaped getting melted by the FT just to come back and kill them.

I see so much negativity in this forum. For those who are unhappy I say go try something else for awhile and come back to this, it’ll be here when you come back.

What do you like about this flawed, but fun game?

I think all things considered Illfonic have done a good job. Especially when you see much bigger companies like EA, Bioware and Activision putting out ‘AAA’ games with much bigger budgets for a much bigger price and they had much bigger problems, and that’s without a global pandemic lockdown.
I’ll agree that maybe their community communications could probably be a bit better but again, all things considered, I think they’re doing okay.

I gave them nearly 3 weeks and haven’t heard a peep. They sure were fast to tell us about the paid DLC which is upcoming but so very quiet about every other issue in the game right now. The sad thing is people will lap this up and ask for more.

I understand the frustration but this wasn’t exactly fast about the DLC. Last week everyone was bitching they were dragging their feet showing their roadmap and now they see it is too fast? People complaining about wanting more DLC from Day 1 and now complaining they aren’t fixing stuff? Not accusing you of any of this but they are getting a lot of mixed responses so they are kinda damned if they do and damned if they don’t at this point and what do you do then? Fix the game and lose all the DLC whiners? Or add DLC and lose the ones complaining on the other side? And they made fixes to the game, not fixing everything but it made the game much more playable, within the first week then like three weeks later they are announcing DLC… not sure how this is fast by comparison.

I mean, is that they lured us in with “Oh yeah theres limited content for now, but free content will bump it up in the first month”.

Then… After everyones bought it…

2 tapes free content (which isnt even content).

and then the actual content isnt free at all… its paid DLC

Thats just some EA shady shit.

I am not saying what they are doing is good enough, the content that is. I had my own criticism of this on the post itself. I am not even entirely defending this and I don’t like it all that much myself. But to say this DLC announcement was fast is a bit disingenuous. And since the trial and before that I have see more hate and scorn for this game than I ever saw even with Evolve and those guys did far worse than Illfonic has done and were full blown scum bags about it and it immediately destroyed their entire player base. I don’t wanna defend them but I think people need to settle down a bit and stop with the hyperbole. There is serious issues and they are kinda dragging their ass now and there is an honest discussion to be had but the way people are acting, in general not the gentleman I responded to necessarily, is pretty over the top and ridiculous.

I have two outcomes right now.

The release this DLC and half the people cry and half buy it up, I wont, Im not a Dutch “fan” per say. Hes cool but not why Im into this universe. So they release the content but wait what’s that? A huge patch too? Alright all is good.

If the release this DLC and NO PATCH to fix bugs and stuff - they can kiss my ass. The lowest part of it.

You prioritize paid content but put bug fixes on the back burner? For real?

Yes we got a mini patch and moderate touch patch but now we need a real one, not a bandaid

What are you talking about, dude? Let them make nice-working net-code first and good ping like it was at Beta-testing. May be you playing from PS and all of you have nice ping about 4ms average, but i have 120ms at my PC from release and it’s not playable and i paid my money for the game having 40-60ms ping during free weekend! People should work their money.

You should not be pushing DLC when yu have core functions of the game utterly broken. Crossplay for instance, people bought this game to play with friends but quite literally cannot do it.

This game is more than heavily flawed , it has barely any content , it’s a demo at best they are charging for with promises to release paid DLC and “free updates” …since when do people pay for updates , also I’m in Melbourne Australia , matchmaking is horrendous , I paid $50 dollars for this piece of trash , if they fix matchmaking I’ll shut up largely but atm I’ve had this game since it was available on PS4 and not once have I got to play as predator because I don’t have 25+ mins to wait around for a game all the time
