But is he actually much smaller tho? I’m not sure.

I dunno that’s what memes keep saying but in my opinion he’s the most badass, how to die by a robot using a frequency from the future to play a song that nullified his red mist lol

Bro, the Shin defeat was JUST as bad. And since there’s no sequel coming, he went out a loser.

Yes they are making shin 2 in fact we are getting a Toho monster verse leading up to his return after introducing or reintroduced monsters

Wait wait, you mean the Shin Ultraman business? Isn’t that a reboot with all new versions of 4 characters, G included?

I’ve waited two weeks to address this.

They are not making a Shin 2. There were never plans for a Shin 2. Shin Godzilla was a one-off, no sequel was ever discussed, or put into production. Anno and Higuchi were asked about a sequel in 2016, but given that its been SEVEN YEARS…its not happening. Nor was it in the first place.

Also your “Toho monsterverse” is half right. Toho stated in 2020 that they wanted a “world of Godzilla” cinematic universe, with films every year or every two years. That…also hasn’t happened yet. That’s not to say it won’t, but it seems like Legendary has more plans for the character than Toho does at the moment. Also, the cinematic universe would have nothing to do with Shin.

No, those are separate properties, but carrying the “shin” name (shin translates to several different things, mainly “true”, or “new”) as Hideki Anno is directing, or has directed, these films.

First was Shin Godzilla, then Shin Evangelion (3.0 + Thrice Upon A Time), Shin Ultraman, which was just released, and Shin Kamen Rider, which comes out next year. Neither of these share any continuity or universe, the only common link is the director.

I’m not an avid Godzilla fanatic, but I did wanna throw my two cents in.

My favourite introduction of Godzilla would have to be Terror of Mechagodzilla. After years of subpar direction for the character, I also thought it was a sublime, albeit temporary retirement for the king monsters.

What are some of your favourite entrances of Godzilla across his plethora of movies?

Terror’s entrance is god tier. The list of badass intros is crazy long, really most of the franchise. The ones that stand out the most I think are 54, 64, Terror, 84, Biollante, Destoroyah, and GMK. For American films, 98, 14 and KOTM are damn good.

For sure! Glad his presentation and scale have been preserved over the years. Makes me wanna revisit Up from the depths’ 3 hr retrospective review of all the Godzilla films. I’d have it on loop for my 12 hr shifts xD

Check this out guys, if you have a day off.

Spoken like someone who’s never watched Godzilla during the Millenium Series. Trust me, he is that fast.

I dunno 🤷 lol 😅

Edit: Oh just reread it I’m sorry and yes TOHO wants to reboot his monster verse to fit with shin returning and Shin ULTRAMAN is part of that universe

Airport scene in Godzilla 2014, opening night, hands down.

Everythings exploding, muto’s roaring, subway cars are going boom and people are screaming, then Godzilla puts his foot down & it goes dead silent.

Found the guy who poked a crocodile with a stick thinking he was faster than its burst of sperg ambush speed.
