Guys, the noise

Predator seriously needs to STFU. I’m standing totally still for a full minute waiting for FT to get to objective. But they know I’m around because my predator won’t STFU. So they start spot spamming and shooting randomly until they find me totally ignoring objectives. FFS this needs to be addressed. Please and thank you 🙂

Unfortunately there isn’t anything wrong with the predator making noise. The problem lies with spotting.

The predator make to much noise. You can’t
play Stealth.

He should definitely make some noise. But definitely not as much. It’s like a guy out hunting deer playing the harmonica right now

You can play stealthily. The first thing you should do is find a class and a load out that suits your play style.

Realistically, the only gear items that provide stealth are the bear traps, the bow, the spear, and the plasma caster pistol. I’m not even going to touch the disc.

The one perk you MUST have is modified reserve. Secondly long jump. The third solely depends on you.

My play style is stealth. This play style is more rewarding than any other play style that I’ve tried.

The importance of being prepared and thinking ahead is what helps with stealth. Next you have to understand that movement, any movement at all, will attract attention to the naked eye. This is not including spotting. This is why it’s important to not move. Long jump will be able to help you get into a prime position. Modified reserve will allow you to remain cloaked for an extended period of time.

Take those tips and experiment.

That’s exactly what I do. Usually works. But against spot spamming snipers, not much you can do when your predator won’t STFU 🤷‍♀️

Not sure why you got flagged bro nothing wrong with what you said. My issue with the sound is I’m playing as a hunter. Hunter needs to be silent when prey is near. I don’t want the FT to know I’m there. Totally defeats the purpose and ruins the atmosphere.

I think a STFU perk for predator will be good 😁

?? I agree. Maybe an accidental click somewhere?

You have fu***** nailed the problem right there pal…

Not sure who and why flagged you, nothing wrong with your comment.

Chirping is dope. Definitely should not be changed imo. Its one of my favorite things in the game.

These posts, make predator footsteps silent, make cloak invisible, remove clicking sounds just serve to nerf defining predator character traits, i am against that as they are the cool throwbacks which make playing as predator feel like predator.

As for gameplay reasons lets say we make him a super undetectable stealth machine whats the fun for fireteam fighting against something literally silent or invisible all the time?

I would support making his chirping less directional and nerf the Wallhack spotting. That would make it so they can still know you are around, you can still make the sounds but they would be looking everywhere. Allowing you to creep when they aren’t looking directly at you.

It is worth getting as close as you can without cloak to not make sound and moving when their backs are turned and making situational use of the cloak, breaking line of sight and waiting in full invisibility for potential quick strikes and claim.

A group of pc snipers can be tough. The trick with them however is not to try and outsnipe them that is their role to keep your ranged game in check.

Anyway i feel you though I disagree with this change as a solution. Thanks for making the post.

stand still at a vantage without the cloak in a place they wouldnt bother to check. there is no chirping so they dont think you are around is worth a try

Indeed. Predator stealth in this game is more than just turning on your cloak. We have 3rd person perspective for a reason. We can just as easily stealth around a corner without cloak. How did we play stealth games without full invis before? The cloak becomes abit of a crutch then when we die it is also the scapegoat. Imo

I think eliminating footsteps from the trees and reducing the sound of the creaking and climbing. I also think his clicks need to echo and be harder to pinpoint.

I think that’s fair

I also wouldn’t be opposed to eliminating directing spotting and just keeping the eyeball as a general location marker. I know some disagree. But if you see that eyeball you know whats up, and the Pred already has other things that give him away. His aiming laser, arrow trails, etc.

ya i agree with this. it would make for more tactical play as the predator. if they couldnt outline spot you and just had the eye you could jump and leap visibly to make them spot in one direction and dropdown and run around from the opposite direction flanking them, using visibility purposefully as a strategy.

that is totally something predator would do, allowing himself to be seen on his terms.

At the very least you aren’t eating as many bullets when you’re just trying to get a peak at the battlefield lol
