By the way, copper thickness has nothing to do with EMI susceptibility as far as I know. Copper thickness changes the resistance. And that might be the main reason for standard
too - although the length indeed influences the EMI susceptibility.
So, it is one thing to be precise with wordings but another thing to be precise with technical facts…

You are nit picking. The ethernet standards are based on thickness and length (and shielding too, forgot that one). Two of those (length and shielding) influence EMI interference. Didn’t imply all of them did, just that those are some of the characteristics that constitute “the standard”

I got accused of hacking on PS5 and I had to ask them do you really think I would go out of my way to get a modded controller on PS5 on a dead game? Of course they fell silent. But I have faith that some of us at least play on console with no modded controllers right?
