As stated in another thread, you cannot hack PHG. It’s possible but extremely time consuming and costly to have someone dick around and try it. But what’s happening here is two specific exploits, which are very different. There’s a trick on PC that, if you’re fast enough, can swap out your main or secondary weapon to be a gear item, i.e. the Grimtech for grenades or syrettes. The ammo count reflects on the amount of gear, so say you load in normally with a gun with 340 rounds, using this trick now gets you 340 grenades. The second exploit is a rapid fire of the gear, works typically more with throwables. So essentially they are machine gunning grenades.
Okay so an exploit basically. Is this a common exploit that’s been known for awhile?

This and many other things have been reported to Illfonic, but do they care? Or do they simply not have enough skill to fix this kind of things?
Imo they’re just a bunch of recently graduated students, people who just finished school and wanted to jump into game developing, for Illfonic’s CEO this was a golden moment, cheap labor. They probably just copy game code from other games, mixing all kinds of shit eithout knowing what it really does, which is why we get the bugs and possibilities to exploit like we do, just look at the male Support class right arm, or is it a sneak peak of an upcoming class? Spawn?

Is extremely broken, but not gonna lie, when you play clash with potatoes and use it against a full premade of supports with rocket launcher and make them rage quit, is extremely satisfying.

Exploit that lets you have over 300 grenades is based on another exploit that has been around since launch, reported to Illfonic well over a year ago, but it was only about January that people really figured out how to do it in such a way to have hundreds of gear items. It was reported to Illfonic then kept more or less secret by the people who found it to prevent it from becoming widespread, but around May one of the people that knew how to do it published a youtube video showing how to do it.
Exploit that lets you rapid-throw grenades has been around since launch and was reported to Illfonic over 2 years ago, but if they cared, they made it low priority since by default you can rapid-throw 4 grenades and who cares about that? But when combined with the over 300 grenades exploit, people now do it a lot when they wanna just fuck around.
