hand held plasma caster

With the shoulder caster you made it overload, the handheld needs more of a reload delay to stop annoying spammers who hunt without any skill standing invisible and spamming handheld until people are dead especially after the recent biff to its damage

Some people find it very hard to track the shots if they aren’t directly looking at the predator when he fired the shot and the reload can be hard to notice from a distance ive had matches where i as the predator fire 15+ shots at the FT missing and landing and the FT just complain on mic not being able to find the shots due to the shot speed

i get it probably needs some kind of easier to notice tell raising the reload speed to like 6 or so seconds would probably fine too

You know what spam is really a problem?
Ft gun spam.
Seriously some of the guns do a shit load of damage and all they gotta do is hold one button to let out a bunch of bullets.

Takes no skill, the game does all the work for them.
This spam has been a problem since day 1, it NEEDS to be fixed.

Well said, and something that gets over looked quite frequently to be quite honest. People seem to complain about how OP the Pred weapons are, and how much some need nerfing yet, all the FT has to do is click or hold a button.

I play both FT and Predator, and it’s pretty easy going for the FT in all honesty. Predator on the other hand is a completely different kettle of fish. We cant keep nerfing Pred just to make the lives of some FT players even more easier.

When I first used the Handheld Plasma Caster, I thought it was going to be similar to Wolf’s from AVPR. Not a near useless Plasma Shotgun. I know the weapon has been buffed a lot these days, but… I dunno, guess I expected more than what we got.

I honestly said it as more of a smart as comment, but I just think its ridiculous when people complain about the handheld because I feel that all it does is put the pred on par with the ft dps.

However I know a lot of people complain about it. Like A LOT. So in order to reach a compromise I would say maybe lower the ammo count by 1 or 2, I think most people would be happy with a 4 shot ammo count. I do think the handheld is fine, but I know a lot of people dont.

Plasma caster is not suppose to be more stealthy than the bowz but right now is like that. I think they need to give some more visual feedback to make it easier to see when a Pred is spamming from a tree.

Changing the handheld so that it has a small downtime isnt nerfing anything and if your so bad at predator that you need to spam it something could be said about the gameplay needing work on the predators part I’m not the best predator but I don’t need to spam the handheld to get the down

Dude you seem so reasonable the majority of the time, and when were talking, but with other people you got A damn attitude.

So why are guns firing the bullets not considered spam, but almost everything the pred does is considered spam?

Just cause you only have to hold the button down and its automatic, doesnt change it from being spam.

If were gonna start calling using a gun spam, which is what @knuckingfuts is saying.

So why is the handheld considered spam, but not the ft guns? Essentially the hand held is just the pred version of the revolver.

So it’s cool for the ft to spam bullets, but not pred huh?

True I guess. I dont use the HHPC much, but seen youtubers using it quite frequently, since the buff. More of a bow Pred myself in all honesty.

My attitude is proportionate to the asshole I’m talking too. Sometimes, I am overtly harsh and don’t always intend it, especially if I’m annoyed about something else. Fine line between making a joke and being an ass. You asked that I not come at you, and I mostly respect when people don’t want static.
I didn’t realize how harsh I was being last week till Kame said thank you because I wasn’t mean.

I generally don’t argue about weapons and damage, there are exception, it isn’t how I see games getting balanced. It also isn’t that important to me. That isn’t to say balancing weapons isn’t important, just not something I spend a lot of thought on.

I’ve never argued about spam, I don’t think firing automatic weapons falls into that category. For one the damage is different, bullets need to be poured into the bullet sponge, that is the Predator.

I have commented on the pistol, reloading animation I think and think you’re suggestion of having to reload at 4 shots is a decent way to limit spam if that’s the goal.

Fire, I got a question before I go. Is my damned attitude because I keep making arguments on the opposing side from you?

XD not so much bitching, but more disagreeing with you, because you, and, say half of the player base, mainly ft focused players, want this to be balanced as 1v1, even if you dont see it.

Which is fine. I just wish people were open, direct, and honest about what they wanted just so hopefully we could get on the same page, and everyone gave pretty much the same feedback so that way we could start seeing more action being taken by illfonic in response to suggestions.
