Idk I think it’s too 3 in my opinion. Pretty good movie, rewatchible, and was 100% better than 2018. This was a desperate need of a movie the franchise needed and I think a good majority liked it then hated it.

I’d rate it after Predators (1. Predator 2. Predator 2 3. Predators). It’s good that it was better received than the last installment (because it’ll have momentum that studios will capitalize on for more movies), but saying majority liked it doesn’t = good movie. Predator better fucking survive and massacre everybody in the next one! Halloween Kills-style lmao

I’m @NomadClan

For me I’d put it after Predator 1 & 2. Predators and PREY are a tightly close 3rd, but yeah I mostly meant the people that I know as well as some research felt as though the movie did pretty well. Especially when people warmed up to the new design (which I loved from the beginning) mainly because it’s showing diversity and more lore for the Yautja’s (which I love). However listening to interviews proves that’s what they are trying to do.

though I agree we are in desperate need of a Predator win though.

Despite my personal feelings about the film, one cannot deny that it is a unique paint job for the IP and has sparked discussions among people, which is a major positive aspect. I am aware that a large influx of viewers watched it during its premiere, and while this may not necessarily signify its quality, it certainly indicates its success from a business perspective.

For real, the Predator drastically lost IQ even before the gunshot to the back of the head ;-;

Where do you want the next movie to take place?

Hmmm… I actually haven’t considered it. I don’t think using the jungle/dense forest setting is a tired trope, I just want the other factors (i.e. acting, directing, etc) to be exceptional. I believe you can have a great pred movie in any setting, so long as those aforementioned components are well executed.

I’d like to see the next one set in Brazil.

  • starts in Amazon focus on a indigenous tribe leader telling kids about “o demônio que faz do homem troféus”

  • moves to city at some point maybe a daughter is taken ransom by a city gang near to the Amazon forest (Manaus) daughter is wearing a necklace that means something to a predator clan

  • ends in an underground predator encampment (resembling city hunters ship) there’s a large…a temple in the Amazon leads to pred camp/ship.

Majority of the story told from predator clan perspective.

Have a stargazer villain boss that dies.

Only the innocent kids and tribesman’s daughter survive at the end…preds win = happy fans

End credits we see the uscm arriving on the scene or wy
