Happy birthday Arnold! I hope you live long and prosper!

Tell us your Arnold experience if you had one.
I remember seeing Arnold a mayor of California (however short lived that bit was, but mayors are mayors and they are often short lived- just enough to inspire those in that city).
Arnold - although i don’t really dig his Red Heat or Commando ideals, really dug his routine of doing Terminator films, his stint on True Lies, Eraser, Total Recall, and although i caught his Conan films years after release, i thought his fur gettup was worthy of Frank Frazetta’s paintings.
His iconic film Predator- got to remember that beacuse why are we hear otherwise!???
Arnold was always a source of physical admiration, reference for artists, and his unique Austrian accent made it funny as fuck! A weed smoker, a beer drinking, and generally a real inspiration to people everywhere. May it last forever!

You rate eraser over commando?.

I didn’t watch red heat or raw deal until this week , they were the typical thing you expect from him . I still say his best acting is predator, its tied for best movie with the terminators

I re-watched Raw Deal…nope (maybe it was good in the 90s but todays standards, it was very much a televsion production as lots of films those days had the networks involved). Commando was …OK. but it was odd seeing so many explosions in this low budget (for the time it was huge), but you can tell the stuff blowing up were made specifically for the film to be blown up. I mean most of it looked like it was built the day before!
You could see Arnold filmography being a statement about budgets for action films for every decade it was made in. Not saying it was bad, but ulimately if Arnold could pull off terminator dark fate with all it’s CGI, he’s a player in the game of entertainment and everyone is behind him.

Well, i just want to add that I had this dream he was a glasses wearing painter during the 2nd World War, and then the Germans detained him, and he was forced to paint Nazi propaganda posters but also paint counterfeit renaissance paintings for them. Upset about his situation, he tries to escape the nazi camp confinement.

maybe i dreamt he was Han van Meegeren?

Well there was the explosive scenes and the fact that he shoots the same stuntmen about six or seven times , but they wear fake mustaches or put on a hat each time 😁 .
