Hardcore mode introduction.

My idea is based on the creation of a new mode that is the hardcore mode. It would really focus on strategy, cooperation and high difficulty on the commando and predator side. A mode without ath, followed by a complete realism. Where we really feel that we are in the predator atmosphere. This will allow fans of the series and those who love the Predator universe to find themselves in this mode or those who like the traditional difficulty.

Tell me what you think.

Have you tried the Hardcore mode private match modifiers?

Yes, I’ve already tried. And the problem is that for this kind of thing you need people with you. And it’s very problematic to find a good hardcore part.

Can you explain that a little more? I’m not quite understanding your meaning

This! The amount of things you can alter for custom matches in this game is mind-boggling. Together with the ability to save your own settings for any future sessions, I’m surprised we haven’t seen more people really getting into this a launching “custom leagues” centred around unique modes. Steam groups have most of the tools you’d need to get something like that going.

Might even do it myself, further down the road…

The reason I believe is simply everyone is so used to the game as is most don’t want to bother tinkering.

Kinda like being dead inside but showing up for work everyday? Or as it’s most commonly called weekdays

Oh yes

I made a “real mode” a little ways back… I thought it would be good but the predator’s infinite plasma caster is an issue due to low health start FT. If the caster can be modified to limited plasma…it would be perfect. Maybe 3 fully charged blasts deplete the plasma completely down making it unusable and smaller blasts just eating away at the energy a bit at a time until it’s completely gone. But then this gets in the way of the cloak not being able to be used deep in the match. Cloak could possibly eat at the energy bar a lot slower then it is now.

This game should have fucking friendly fire on by default.

I can’t recall how many times pred damage points hungry players get in front of me to block my shots and land theirs. Let them suffer for it.

It would also force a more squad oriented teamplay, where 4 assault rifles and pistols would just not be viable.

then again, with the dumb swarm of AI… yeah… leave it as is, just an option for private matches were we can also get rid of stupid AI and make the match be focused on what it should be, hunt or be hunted.

buy a keyboard/mouse that works. = hardcore mode

Its pretty hardcore from a PC preds perspective playing against PS Potatoes so where is the discussion at?

use an amazon basics wireless M&K… only “true gamers” play great in hindered hardware (or so some console players believe)

So you’re saying this amazon basics wirelss M/k works on PS?
Is this confirmed? Can you provide a link?

Next thing you know, you just changed the atmosphere and every PS player buys one. and then PC players are in ghetto town!

Seriously I feels like i’m in a conversation with the mirror!

when there is a will there is a way

OK

We already have a hardcore mode.

If you want that you’ll have to give it a new name.

How

What?

Again how will that work.

I don’t have enough to tell you what I think.

Well I tried a tournament that rebalanced the game…

And everyone critisized it for being too different.

Exactly

No absolutely not

Any problem solved by friendly fire can be solved by something else without the toxicity

Their punishment is less DPS and a loss.

How?

That makes no sense.

No. I shouldn’t lose because someone is too damn dumb to get on my way. They should die along with the pred

that’s how I always saw the game was intended to be. A full fireteam squad; assault, recon, scout, support, not 4 fucking support field medics tankying damage like Homer Simpson in a boxing match

You’ll lose regardless because you just lost a teamate to friendly fire.

Ya but how does friendly fire buff everything else?

I admire your dedication. Tournaments are a bit different to what I’m proposing, but they could definitely have a place in it if they became popular enough. I’m thinking something a bit more casual where you have a pool of regular and semi-regular players that all enjoy a specific custom game mode.

I can see that being easier for people to join than a tournament, where you have the schedule rounds and wait for others to complete theirs. I’m curious to know what your custom settings were though.
