I decided today to watch some youtube videos just to see how things are going in other peoples sessions, and i see alot of zerkers rushing in with sticks. Fine, not really how i wanna play, so i read the commments.
This one guy…changed this game for me. “I use Scout and i dont play to kill them, i play to get as much money and xp as possible, so i only damage them and let them revive and even reinforce”
This sounded weird at first, but god damnit people…changed the game for me. Scout is my main, i only use Shoulder Cannon and all i do is stalk them and down them, over and over. They cant get me, because i never really engage, all im doing is slowly wearing them down, and my goal is not to win, so i dont have that “pressure” anymore. It felt fucking amazing.
It almost seemed like they gave up since i downed them so much, and then i would come down to the ground and run circles around them showing them that i allowed them to revive their mates. IF they were aggressive id just hop on a roof and let them see me waiting for them to revive and try again.
I think alot of people get annoyed because they are going for fast kills against decent fireteams, it doesnt really work unless you get lucky or they mess up. It frustrates Predator players becasue the balance right now doesnt really allow for the Predator to annihilate the Fireteams, he is too squishy.
I advice some Predator players to try this, it becams einsanely enjoyable now for me, my mission as the Scout is to stay far away, keep them in my sights at all times, fire shots and down them, let them revive and keep harrasing them.
10.000xp for a match like that, rougly, i did this in my last 5 matches, won 4 and lost the last because they sniped my mask off.
They can heal all day long, let them, xp scales on damage done, so if you kill them fast, you basicly nerf your score.
Let me know if this makes sense, i had a blast playing like this, didnt care about the outcome, my job was to wear them down and take as little damage as possible. They didnt even get me into SW either, i never let them.
