Height Advantage

If you’re taking damage in trees you hop out of the trees immediately because they are looking at you. Traveling in a line taking hits is the worst option when you can just opt to not take damage at all.

You asked for Pros and Cons, not to make my feedback taste like sugar.

Of course I take damage in matches. But, the focus should be on mobility and not taking damage, rather than being able to absorb more.

If you read my text in that tone, that’s not on me, but even so I meant no ill-intent. In fact, I’m probably one of the friendliest people on this forum.

He’s a troll don’t listen to him, he doesn’t even play scout.

I’m starting to see who the asses and trolls are. I don’t count you as one of them. To me just seems like on the ground Pred has no real advantage moving through the trees stopping only for any instance seems likely what devs intended. That’s why I was wondering because for me constantly moving seems to work. Making teams waste resources and harassing from a distance. Then moving in for the kill when “separated.” Seeing how you are gonna catch a stray bullet just wondering if t helps just a little. “ a swig of water is better than no water at all”

Much better perks, especially when going up against a competent FT, such as a Pre-made are Impatient, Medic and Large Pouch.

Being able to heal to full health rather than adding 10% more to your health bar is far more useful, in my opinion. That is simply from a numbers perspective.

On the asses and trolls comment - don’t discount any of the Forum members if they’re an ass to you right off the bat, just trust me. Some of the most-curmudgeonly of them are the nicest people you’ll meet once you get to know them.

I agree, the trees are an absolutely terrible choice in most situations because of the noise they make. They have utility, as everything in this game does, but it is all situational.

Thematically yes, but they have poor foresight and the pred can only move around trees in straight lines and the cloak is obvious when jumping & cover is limited. There isn’t enough freedom of movement to support staying in the trees while you’re getting shot at.
This is why they had to make branches really generous and shield from sniper bullets, because trees were pointless and got you shot from every angle while limiting your own angles of attack severely.
There are a million more places to attack from on the ground.

Understood.

What’s your preferred Predator class?

In the beginning I didn’t have one, played every class every dlc from launch. I’ve settled on scout, alpha and 87 or city hunter. I either play bow, caster, sickle or net combi trapper. I don’t bother with the other melee weapons cause the devs haven’t paid attention to fact a predator vs human melee is literally grown ass man vs a toddler in cannon. But I digress, I usually run mod reserve, dithered lens, medic or down range.

Use any hunter. Run large pouch, modified reserve and light bender. Almost infinite cloak. They won’t see you until you melee most times. You get shot less.

Already aware of that combo, thanks though

Height Advantage is best used with impenetrable, the 2 perks stacks and ad up to 32.5% of damage reduction. If you stay on trees from afar and move a lot it will take a good amount of buttets to kill you.

Well damn gonna try it out.

So it just cancels out the dmg buff Assault with Deadly+Yautja’s Bane. For two 5pt perks, just useless.

Regardless thnx for the info

It’s niche. I run it on a scout and stick to range, moving fast and frequently around the team and engaging with PC and bow. Helps when they do start landing hits but it’s obviously only very effective when you can stick with the trees

Sure, Let’s toss gimly into the mix and either have a mass murder in a bush, or toss the dwarf at the pred and hope for the best.

Nobody tosses a dwarf.

and yet gimli was yeeted upon request.
