Hey, Illfonic! What is this?

Believe it or not, that shit happened to me once as pred. It’s basically the pred equivalent of that t-pose fireteam bug. I tried to leap, but I just kept floating up untill I reached the stratosphere.

That’s what probably happens (the T-posing) if you don’t reinstall the build after a long fucking time. Or if you have an old installed build and you suddenly decide to jump in the game after a long time.

I remember I still had the old installed(first build of the game) running only on updates and zero installs and I could get T-pose characters including the untextured diorama in the main menu. For me happened with the fire team.

Moral of the story: if you wanna have a good run of the game, make sure you reinstall and in the process remove the profile settings file along with many temporary files in the process.

It has nothing to do with install. It happens randomly like the -1 bug. You can tell you are going load in T-Pose because your loadout is blank (no perks, gear, weapon icons).

Pred A pose loads as “Assault” class. Pretty easy to tell. Just leave the match when it happens.

Yes it does. I’ve been around since the demo and played with considerable pauses. Some for literally months or half a year. I noticed even after launch how if you didn’t reinstall the game from time to time (after the mentioned thing up there) the patching would not change every issue encountered and you would just migrate with all the issues to the next version.

Is no wonder the patching is kind of clunky, Unreal engine is not a easy engine to work with and the older the version the more headaches you have.

Doesn’t makes much sense though. I got t-posed once because my WiFi connection was faulty and it didn’t display me as Assault it just kept in loading and loading my Pred loadout.
Also, do you got auto update disabled or something?

Worth to mention is the fact that I notice T-poses can pop up to you or anybody else if one user from the session does not have the build reinstalled for a long time (as mentioned earlier). (so is not only for the person who didn’t reinstall, but from the person and affecting everybody else).

Can it occur especially if the person who hasn’t done a clean is tall for a long time is the server? We don’t know for sure but is worth looking into. (not me, I am not the dev and is not my job)

However, what you say, in terms of loading and renders due to connectivity can also be a issue. I am only walking on what I experienced with the details I gave.

Pretty weird though.
I only had teammates t-pose or how I like to call it “immortality bug” or the Pred being displayed as Assault occasionally. It’s not pretty frequent for me.

Is not too frequent for me either. Since I have the clean installs and everything. Heck I even delete the profiles settings when I do a clean install and all.

But I am pretty sure some out there don’t do it. Just because they don’t know or don’t care. And I don’t blame them. The game needs to work as intended without any reinstalls in the first place?

Anyway…

Can say much about the reinstall.
I got myself a new gaming pc recently and copied over my save files so that I don’t need to redo all my classes from scrap.
But this didn’t seem to affect my game at all though. I usually only get very rarely a really high ping, like when I ran with a friend and we were mauled by an Viking with his axe, we both got 999 ping and screwed us over. Or I really occasionally get the network runtime error. Those are the only ones I seem to get most of the time.

When did you made those save files? On what version?

On PC for instance, you should have saves that are actually profile settings that should include the actual loadouts. However except those you also have temporary files.

If you transfered only those, that means the temporary remained on your old pc.

If we narrow down the problems we can reach the answer I suppose.

I just straight up copied to entire folder named “Predator Hunting Grounds” last week.
