It works on PS4, but as for what I ve heard regarding PC, it doesn’t work yet. Mainly because of EPIC.
Keep trying but don’t waste hours on it.
they wont show up in game if ur in game when u add them. for me atleast.
Restart the game and you will see them.

Yup friend list its bugged (lol)
Sometimes i see one friend of two (both are waiting in main menu for my invite) and i must restart the game to see two friends…
You have no friends so I would go to sci fi predator conventions and cosplays.
