I had my fun. Still stressed about the update, but this took a bit of the edge off
Well, you know…whatever.
Rememer, farmland on canadian and american soil is fraught with its own advantages and disavantages…where China’s farm lands are constantly hit with major storms every year. Mainland China is still very much a problematic land in very low economic standards. But the rest of asia isn’t. There is still Japan, Korea, Taiwan Vietnam, Philipnese,Malaysia…etc.etc…etc. they do trade within the confines of asia itself. America…has america. Americans should be humble…i would think. Its not like they are getting a whole lot from Austrialia or Norway.
MOst Americans are from like ,…damn i don’t even know. Maybe Britian? Germany? …sweden…shit i don’t know.

Actually at this point they are. How many generations does it take to absorb into a culture and leave your heritage? Considering the normal now is to classify all whites as European decent…forgetting the fact that some have been here 5 generations to the point the only thing a McBride or a McCullough named individual knows about the Irish is they get drunk on St Patty’s day. Also the extent of their knowledge on St Patrick too.

Whatever they original heritage, theres a resin why they are here. They’ll adhere to certain traditions of their original countries, but murica is their homeland now

I actually said at the beginning of Trump’s presidency that a galvanizing event like 9/11 would be a good thing if only in the sense to get everyone back on the same page and move forward despite differences. Instead the outbreak happened and had the literal opposite effect.
I could see that too. It is a melting pot and there will always be disagreements within. But I’d says those are very marginal, though the effect might be great. For the most part people are on the same page

Agreed. I though you were saying that americans should be humble cause the all came from a worse situation at whatever time to this land if freedom. It makes sense but becomes kinda divisive if everyone tugs in a different direction

Ups and downs. It does look like overall things are becoming more extreme, but I’d think that’s not the overall population’s direction but certain factions getting their way with large geoyps of people. The sentiments are there, but they are not that bad until blm or antifa or cancel culture galvanizes them.
It’ll be an afterthought once the update hits. Plus the new RE stuff is pretty amazing.
It seems like the racial tension in the US is getting worse. A civil war of some kind would give the US government an excuse to disarm the the American population.
That would do something to an extent. At the protests it was masses with rocks and stick for the most part that did the damage. Guns were situational. The real weapons are not guns but communication and organized movements. Even without gun violence will still happen.
But guns do make people ‘braver’. So maybe it will cut down on the number of incidents. Plus no mass shootings. Theres also a possibiluty that black markets will boom. Overalll i think the threat of disarming does more good for the gov than actual disarming
A disarmed population is easier to control and it’s harder for the masses to rebel if they have no guns. Once the government takes away the guns, they will be able to enforce more of their bullshit rules on everyone. That is how nations become police states. Take a look at countries that don’t allow people to carry guns. The crime rates over there are a lot higher and it’s much easier for governments to bully their citizens.
We need guns to protect ourselves.

That could be the case. If it gets there, disarming is step one, social policies to prevent crime and policing is step two. Trade freedoms for safety. Seems like a natural progression to cutting down crime instead of making it individual’s responsibity

Corona is a bit different. At some point as people we have to pregress from this state. This might not be the right time, but it has to happen at some point. Seems very medieval that indiciduals have to keep weapons to protect themselves. Depending where you live, most of us feel safe 95% of the time. Those other 5% is so hard to eliminate. Damn it
Read my other comment again. A disarmed population is easier to control, you don’t want governments to be able to have complete control over you. That is why guns are necessary, that is what allows people to fight back in case governments do become tyrannical.
You think is having guns is keeping government from taking over? I bet they can do it at any time if so inclined and we won’t do sheet about it. Its not the weapons i think. Its divide and concour and making someone an enemy and having others believe and back it
