They actually pulled the plug on the servers lol. Apparently this is worldwide, too, so they actually killed the game.

I’m all for calling Illfonic out on their bullshit but I’m pretty sure they just shut the servers down for maintenance or something. I’m sure they’ll be back up in a couple of hours or so. Kind of weird that they haven’t addressed this though.

This game has had the plug pulled, but I do shed a single tear because of all the memories on the forums. When times simpler and better, but those are long since gone I bid everyone farewell.

Ironic how a game made 3 years ago that had support cut has better graphics, better mechanics/flow, and a larger player base. Guess that’s why IllFonic shouldn’t have gotten the license.

Yeah, that says something positive about the game. UNLIKE this one, where despite new updates the player base gets fed up with IllFonic’s BS and leaves before new players can replace them.
Also, Ben Walke, the former SWBF2 manager, at least communicated with the community instead of saying nothing, like @OldKingHamlet and @Courier, and I even feel comfortable @ ing them because I know they won’t check it, like how they don’t check anything else on the forums.

Battlefront is fine, but I don’t think it ever lived up to its potential. Battlefront 2 is basically passable but despite all the characters and all the modes, really people only gave a shit about Co op and supremacy. Like having all three eras was fine and all but it created a disparity of who was getting content and it was mostly due to all the films coming out. So we never really could get things like Shadow Troopers or better star cards, or even balanced heroes. The same problems exist since before the game died, it’s just everyone got used to it and made memes.
And who could forget they abandoned starfighter assault so Motive could create Squadrons which by all accounts was SA but with VR and not good.
Honestly Battlefront 2 was alright by the time they pulled it but I can’t act like it was some success story. It’s a success because the base game was dog ass.
