Honestly will we ever get true offline content?

With the upcoming releases of both Aliens fireteam Elite and Evil Dead the game, with booths games fanbases excited as all hell that they are including single player options for those who dont want to play online and from what I’ve read on evil dead majority of players were t gonna get the game because of it only bring a multiplayer game. So with these games proving that players want and would play offline content why is it that Predator Hunting Grounds still hasn’t? Besides the stupidity that you still need an online connection to do a bots private match, why are the devs behind this game so separated from what their players want and what will make them more money.

And I do respect that some players don’t care for single player content just like players dont care for online content, but games like this shouldn’t exclude players especially when having multiple modes will guarantee you more money

This game was conceived, designed, and marketed as a multiplayer experience.

The developers have absolutely no obligation to provide a mode that was never advertised. They may try and add one at some point, but given the AI complexity (as in total lack of) in this game, it would be reasonable to assume they wisely focused on multiplayer as they don’t have the necessary skills to pull off a satisfying single-player mode.

Either buy a game that is designed and advertised as having a single-player mode, or start a private match and combat the mindless AI by yourself in that. The vast majority of players checked what the game was before buying. They shouldn’t have their experience diluted and developer attention distracted to accommodate people who failed to understand what ‘multiplayer only’ means.

Meanwhile, in the Assasin’s Creed forum…

And I do respect that some players don’t care for multi-player content just like players dont care for online content, but games like this shouldn’t exclude players especially when having multiple modes will guarantee you more money

You do realize that evil dead was designed and marketed as an online only game right and yet that game is adding single player cause either they saw they werent really gonna make money or they see the money and the investment of adding something so everyone will buy the game.

And the same can be said about halo and call of duty yes those games have single player campaigns but literally majority of their trailers or any content relewases is in promotion of the multiplayer same with aliens fireteam its advertised as a multiplayer only game but it has single player, so that’s not a valid argument at all.

And I’m not saying they are obligated to add single player but given the clear dead fanbase offline would help those who like to play the game cause alot of people really tend to forget that if an online game dies you wont play the game again unless you have friends willing to play, but tell me this do you really want to always rely on others to play the game you want to play, cause that’s what online is. If they dont play you dont play. And players do know what multiplayer is they just see that games like this arent meant to be the focus of it, just like call of duty black ops 4 they made it so it was online only thinking that’s where their money was and that is to date the least selling game cause of that. And even before its release all people were asking for was offline content and city hunter that should have been a red flag right there. So people can hate it all they want but dont be mad at us for wanting more from developers who are happy with giving players the bare minimum cause they know you will buy it. Only last thing if the company cant manage to make a good online experience for their second game then they need to try something else

I doubt it

But you never know

Aliens FT is a Collaborative horde shooter, not a PvP, so a totally different type of game. Of course you can play it ‘single-player’ as even if you play it ‘multi-player’ you’re just playing it with additional people on your side - either way you’re still just shooting AI Aliens.

You can play this game single-player with those criteria: FT vs AI soldiers, or Pred vs AI soldiers.

The fact that the AI in this game is dumb as fuck should give you an indication as to the capabilities of this small developer, and why they would struggle to develop the kind of single-player content you seemingly want.

At the end of the day multi-player games have more replay life as you’re often facing up against entirely different people each time you play. Playing the same single-player campaigns or shooting hordes of AI bots is for most people going to get old quickly.

If you want a big, sweeping and engaging single-player experience, then you’re better off buying a game that has that designed in from the start, and not expecting a small developer that has designed a multiplayer game with dodgy AI to somehow shoe-horn in these modes.

The AI is way to shitty for a offline mode

Nope.

I am dying for an offline mode. I want bots - both Fireteam bots to fight as the Predator and - my greatest wish (to honor the classic 1987 movie) - an A.I. Predator to fight against as a Fireteam member.

But at this point, any offline mode will do, so if it’s just playing as the Predator and killing A.I. soldiers and completing objectives then so be it.

I want this so badly for this game.

Friday The 13th has bots, Dead Alliance has bots (I own these 2 games on Steam). The upcoming Evil Dead game will have a single-player mode (YES!). PHG needs this so badly.

Right

What does Private match not provide for you?

or maybe its an internet serivce provider that is your biggest problem? planning too go on a road trip to the desert and planning to bring along a lap top? ormaybe its the caves of syria?

And you can play against ai…with an online connection, only way to even access private bot matches is with a subscription (if your on playstation) so that doesn’t help anyone

Any game can have replay value it depends on the person. Just like a fighting game you can easily not play inline anymore cause everyone is doing the same combos or using the same character, or better example a movie are you not gonna watch a movie over just cause you know what’s gonna happen? Your online matches can literally get repetitive as well.

Yes aliens isnt pvp doesn’t mean that its trailers and developers are pushing it for the online content which again from what I’ve read majority of players arent getting it for online cause people are tired of paying for half assed games that only feature online.

If I want more out of a small developers game and they can’t deliver then they should be making games based on huge franchises, just make little games then.

And if I want single player content or just better content in general regardless of the game, its developers or the size of the team I’m gonna speak up and so should others because of players who just take what’s given we got games like predator hunting grounds and even worse games as a service, because of the type of players who just accept the games we get developers saying straight out that they will charge you full price for an unfinished buggy game

Private matches require an internet connection. Why would playing against bots require that? And they know this and refuse to fix it.

And if a team of 3 friends on their down time can make a full functioning game with multiple modes for FREE then theres absolutely no excuse for a team that was given money buy Sony. But again that just proves my point that devs know players like you will just accept the game for lack of content and be ok with paying for a game that you in turn have to pay to play

So what if it didnt require an net connection, what would you want changed? You’re not making a good case for wanting the game offline considering having an internet connection as part of the fail safe for preventing pirating of games. Asides from having it offline which would make pirating the game rampant, what other things would you change?

I bought this game for multiplayer, like the vast majority of people, as it was a multiplayer game. All I want them to do is fix the bugs.

Yea the case majority of the very little player base the game has. And that’s you, majority of yall bought it for online yes but there are significantly more people who wanted offline added and didnt buy the game, and if they had it maybe the game would make more money to fix the bugs they’ve had since day one, but why fix bugs for a game with no playerbase?
