Honor Code Challenge

Here’s a little Community Challenge for all the Preds out there, might make for good video content if players like @Anonymous.Voorhees13 or even say @NomadClan wanna try this stuff out. First off, let’s lay down a few ground rules, the groundwork for an “Honorable” Hunt. I MUST stress that you do not attempt to play by this Challenge set if you are up against Prey you feel it would be suicide against (Such as a well known Premade) unless of course, you feel like it.

You are free to use whatever Class, Weapons & Perks you wish.

  1. You must not attack the Fireteam at Spawn, you must stalk & study them until they reach the first Objective. This doesn’t mean you can’t use Target Isolation at 15:00, just that you can’t ambush the Prey before they have reached the first Objective of their Mission.

  2. Stargazer & Guerrilla Soldiers should not be engaged so as to not give away your location or pre-emptively set off Camp Alarms. Any in your direct path should be eliminated by Stealth Kill only for they are unworthy of the Hunt.

  3. Notable Fireteam Prey such as Dutch & Isabelle should be saved for Last Man Standing so as to ensure a more dangerous & thrilling finale. In said Finale you are to discard/disable use of all Sub-Weapons. The Plasma Caster may be allowed if the Prey seeks to use their own Firearms & Grenades, otherwise they should be engaged with your Wristblades only. Though Caster use will lock you out of the Ancient Rank award (More on that later).

  4. Do not kill & eat a Pig unless you have entered 2nd Wind, only one Pig should be killed & eaten at a time, so no stockpiles of spare heals are left laying around. Excessive killing of native fauna is bad for the Ecosystem after all. Healing before entering 2nd Wind should be reserved to the Healing kit. Entering 2nd Wind will lock you out of the Ancient & Elder Ranks (More below).

  5. Limit use of the Plasma Caster if possible, when used it should be charged to full each shot and not rapid fired, that purpose should be served by the Plasma Pistol. If you wish to go for the Ancient Rank you cannot use the Caster at all, outside of destroying Fireteam resources such as Ammo Crates: you are not allowed to strike the Prey with it if going for Ancient Rank.

  6. If the Prey is completely unaware as to your location, you should try to decloak before attacking from ranged, so as to give them a fighting chance. You may recloak after they begin to engage you in ranged combat.

  7. You should strive to make Unworthy Fireteam Prey die to Stealth Kills. Worthy Prey should aimed to be Long Claimed. Quick Claims should only be used on the corpses of Prey that unexpectedly dies before you can do either, or on those that die to Stealth Kill. You will NOT claim the bodies of Prey that died to their own Explosions such as a misfired grenade or explosive barrel, unless said explosion was a result of Close Quarters Combat with you, nor should those downed by the Guerrilla forces be claimed.

  8. If Prey leaves the fight (Disconnect) then you are allowed to mark them as Killed & Claimed due to their Dishonorable behaviour.

  9. For higher Rankings you should strive to not stop the Prey from calling for Reinforcements. Back off and take the time to prepare for the rest of the Hunt. If Prey Exfils then you are locked out of the Ancient, Elder & Elite Ranks.

Now we move onto the Ranks you may attain in this Hunt operating upon these Rules.

Ancient – 7 Kills, Long Claim or Stealth Kill only, without Entering 2nd Wind and no use of the Plasma Caster outside of destroying Prey Resources. (You should record such Hunts for your fellow Hunters)

Elder - 7 Kills, Long Claim or Stealth Kill only, without Entering 2nd Wind. (You should record such Hunts for your fellow Hunters)

Elite – 7 Kills, Long Claim or Stealth Kill only, you entered 2nd Wind.

Blooded – 5 or 6 Kills, Long Claim or Stealth Kill only, you entered 2nd Wind.

Youngblood – 4 Kills, Long Claim or Stealth Kill only, you entered 2nd Wind.

Unblooded – You die in the Hunt, but your Wrist Computer explodes.

Exile – You die in the Hunt, your body is allowed to be Captured. There can be no greater shame.

I love this idea, but if you start off at a lower rank are you able to move up to a higher rank?

That’s so damn cool.

It would have been great to have a similar ranking system as an option already present in the game.

It would be cool, but unfortunately the creators are illfonic.

For all of them, would short claims count as well? I really doubt someone could pull off 7 stealth kills

Quick Claiming will deduct you Ranking from Ancient, Elder & Elite down to Blooded & then Youngblooded. So say you do 4 Long Claims or Stealth Kills & then 3 Quick Claims. You get the Youngblood Rank for that Hunt.

You get an individual Rank for each Hunt you play under these Rules. You could achieve Elder in one Hunt for example and then Blooded in another. Think of it like a Mission Grade. Each Hunt is an opportunity for something new.

Okay

You got yourself a competitor for the challenge

I hope you are able to achieve Elder or even Ancient, it would make for a fine video.

I should be able to do Ancient to problem, though might be difficult for my channel build but more fun.

Btw what classes should be used? Or just go ham?

You are not limited in your Classes, Weapon choice or Perks. Use whatever you feel comfortable with. Just remember, you can’t use the Plasma Caster in combat if you want to get Ancient. You can’t go into 2nd Wind for Ancient or Elder. And you need a full 7 kills which MUST be either Long Claims or Stealth Kills for Ancient, Elder or Elite.

I’m just curious, why no plasma caster?

In AVP 2010 you could only achieve the Highest Rating for a Predator mission if you didn’t heal & you didn’t use the Caster.

Okay, thanks.

Wait so I got 7 kills without entering second wind, but I did a quick claim and did a tiny bit of plasma caster tomfoolery. Does that mean I’m blooded?

Yeah, the Ranking system is meant to be pretty harsh. Achieving something like Ancient is meant to be a real showcase of patience, cunning & adaptability.

I will try this soon…

Thank you for the idea my friend…

The Hunt awaits

I understand, it’s a pretty cool concept. Nice thinking. Also, what if there’s multiple prey of worthy note? And what do I do if the FT is using cheap tactics?

If the FT display poor sportsmanship & are generally being dickish in their behaivour, they are the ones you should seek to Stealth Kill. Long Claims are for those you feel are more Worthy, more Honorable and who give you a better fight.

Again I don’t recommend playing like this against Premades at all, you could MAYBE do it against one or two good players who are teamed up, but these rules are moreso here to give challenge & an objective to stride towards in more casual matches.
