Personally I’ve found most success playing the Hunter carefully and methodically. Landing all my caster shots, using motion detectors and audio decoys to confuse and isolate. Making good use of hit and run, I.E. Downing one then retreating and taking shots with caster or arrows, then a slam while they try to revive. Net gun one and melee the other not paying attention for a quick 2v1 win. I don’t stick around to gets claims unless I can get away with it without taking damage. I usually wins games without ever going into 2nd wind or using a heal. I may eat a boar but that’s it. Most of the time I even let them reinforce so I can get more XP…not that I need it anymore at level 100 but it’s way more fun, especially since I’ve been waiting an average of 15 minutes to play the Pred.
I’m not sure why you don’t think the Pred gets enough XP/Veritanium. I can end a match with 10,000+ xp. Again, I’ll down 3 of them, let them reinforce then get em again. If they’re easy enough to kill once, 99/100 times they don’t suddenly stick together after the revive. Fireteams seem to be really slow learners. Pred can also interact with Veritanium pickups in game…(I saw this in a video, haven’t tried myself. Possible it could have been an earlier version, but I think you can still get pickups if you want)
I’m suggesting they give the Pred more availability to XP/Veritanium, especially after Lvl 100 which everyone needs anyway, but create penalties for playing poorly and being downed.
I can win by stupidly charging with a Zerker+Combi but why would I want to? Again if you don’t care about XP/Veritanium then the only reason to play is to have fun…is it really fun to just run at them and down them within 2 minutes after waiting 20 minutes to play? I personally don’t think so. Honestly it feels the same to me as cheating. I just don;t get whats fun about it. Sure it’s a win 99% of the time, unless you actually get a good fireteam, but it’s just not fun for anyone involved.
Buffing XP/Veritanium and giving a reason for Preds to seek it after 100 should be enough incentive that they’d want to avoid a 2nd wind if there was a penalty.
