Honor System, Rienforce Only After 2nd Wind

What about an honor system for the Predator in which going into 2nd wind would have XP/Veritanium penalties? Might make Zerkers play a little smarter…Would only work if players have a reason to care about XP/Veritanium after 100.

Could also be that the firetam can’t call for reinforcements until after getting the Predator to 2nd wind or at least forcing a heal of some kind.

How about SW only if FT was reinforced? Currently reinforcment need cooldown like SW.

currently we preds earn less currency as is making us earn even less wouldn’t solve this problem as currently XP is meaningless and veritanium becomes meaningless eventually when players have what they want like i do
the only real way to enforce smart play is to make the smart option better or more appealing right now the highest win chance is to simply rush as zerker melee cause we have less resources than the fireteam the fireteam can outgun us with a single gun out of the 6 best guns in the game which one clip us there are 4 of you and you guys can get in and out in less than 7 minutes they also nerfed our previous best ranged option the cannon and aiming ranged weapons on PS4 at least is very unreliable due to lack of aim assist you might find that sacrilege but most console shooters use aim assist due to how inaccurate analoge sticks are

and besides if you are a recon or scout with movespeed perks you can actually just catch the zerker while he is running away unless he jumps to a high place but even then with a revolver you’ll still probably kill him
it’s happened to me a few times

Its only mean that your skill not good enough and now you try make suggestions from your experience.

ugh you know where i’m coming from though right? if there is a easier way to achieve something and a harder way to achieve something most humans pick the easier choice it’s the same problem we have here
predator could play a more complex way via ranged poking but this is harder way to win the game

or the predator could melee rush with combi+zerker this is easier to do therefore more people do it
do you see the point i’m making?

Personally I’ve found most success playing the Hunter carefully and methodically. Landing all my caster shots, using motion detectors and audio decoys to confuse and isolate. Making good use of hit and run, I.E. Downing one then retreating and taking shots with caster or arrows, then a slam while they try to revive. Net gun one and melee the other not paying attention for a quick 2v1 win. I don’t stick around to gets claims unless I can get away with it without taking damage. I usually wins games without ever going into 2nd wind or using a heal. I may eat a boar but that’s it. Most of the time I even let them reinforce so I can get more XP…not that I need it anymore at level 100 but it’s way more fun, especially since I’ve been waiting an average of 15 minutes to play the Pred.

I’m not sure why you don’t think the Pred gets enough XP/Veritanium. I can end a match with 10,000+ xp. Again, I’ll down 3 of them, let them reinforce then get em again. If they’re easy enough to kill once, 99/100 times they don’t suddenly stick together after the revive. Fireteams seem to be really slow learners. Pred can also interact with Veritanium pickups in game…(I saw this in a video, haven’t tried myself. Possible it could have been an earlier version, but I think you can still get pickups if you want)

I’m suggesting they give the Pred more availability to XP/Veritanium, especially after Lvl 100 which everyone needs anyway, but create penalties for playing poorly and being downed.

I can win by stupidly charging with a Zerker+Combi but why would I want to? Again if you don’t care about XP/Veritanium then the only reason to play is to have fun…is it really fun to just run at them and down them within 2 minutes after waiting 20 minutes to play? I personally don’t think so. Honestly it feels the same to me as cheating. I just don;t get whats fun about it. Sure it’s a win 99% of the time, unless you actually get a good fireteam, but it’s just not fun for anyone involved.

Buffing XP/Veritanium and giving a reason for Preds to seek it after 100 should be enough incentive that they’d want to avoid a 2nd wind if there was a penalty.

hmmm i suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree
in my case specifically some people find it “fun” to win the game regardless of the in game experience or what the other team finds “fun” and i don’t think any strategy in the game qualifies as “cheating” unless it explicitly uses some form of exploit that is unintended like 3rd party software or bugs regardless of how it feels to lose or win with it
regardless your point seems reasonable enough i just don’t agree with all of it but we’ve reached the “fun” argument which i can’t really make a good statement on

Fair enough. And I’m not saying it is cheating. If it’s in the game it’s not cheating. Just to me that it “feels” exploitative and like an easy win. And I like my game to last longer than a few minutes. I’m the guy who will skip riding things at amusement parks if the line is too long. I’m not waiting 3 hours for a 30-60 second ride. It’s how I feel about playing the Pred right now. I’d rather take my time, play smart and challenge myself to take as little damage as possible while making life hell for the fireteam through aggressive hit and run.
