Oh yeah they’re reliable as hell, mine is just 20 years old and the previous owner did 0 maintenance on it whatsoever aside from the bare minimum fluid changes.
The only problems I have with it are just due to the age of it, and it’s mostly little stuff and honestly pretty easy to work on 90% of the time.
Regardless I love the thing, and I was able to get one with the V8 in it.

Honestly the only change I would make is the radio. Just make it a bit newer. Other than that hell yea 4Runners are incredible

just keep it for 30 years and sell it lmao. Would fetch some good money
