Totally this!! But the real issue with the complainers in this thread is they cannot admit to their faults, flaws and weaknesses. They want to blame mechanics, developers, cheaters hell even the damn scenery is to blame, everything is wrong except their tactics. Because a Zerker parade dancing with its meme-stick should be invincible š

If some of these people took just half the amount of time to think and consider their strats like in the video, theyād have a better experience.
Thereās definitely a learning curve for both Fireteam and Predator players, expecting to be able to just pick up the game, play as Predator and have consistent wins all the time is just hubris.
Problem is, most people playing this game just now are FT so you will not get much support on your realy good, game fixing idea. Iām afraid this game will die because of Illfonic pushing the game towards FT:HG reather than P:HG. It will kill this game quz how long can you play FT? A month mayby, and then you will go to something elese. By this time there will be no one left willing to play as Preds. Shame as hellā¦

I play predator almost all the time, and I know what iām talking about, and I almost always kills not only 4 ft members in a match, but generally ā7 (seven)ā. I have no reason to complain about parry, but here I am asking to remove it cuz its the most rediculous thing in this game.
One day, when you decide to play pred and you get to play agaisnt a team that never separate and at the same time cover and help themselves and the your time is running out, you will try to melee one of them cuz otherwise its game over!
Them this guy or girl will deny a 10 times larger combistick slam using a tiny knife.
That will not only paralise you, it will leave you exposed to a knife attack by the same players, while the other ones melt down you life sending to to second wind or to your grave.
But all of this explanation is useless here for you FT players. You donāt and wonāt see the unbalance. Its a waste of time.
But āWEā (PRED players that keep talking about this parry nonsense) are doing the right think by writing in the forum cuz the devs will probably see! We donāt care about your blindness!

Are you just a troll or my words are so hard to understand? Good Predator can easily kill bad FT - itās ok. Good FT can easily kill bad Predator - itās also ok. But good FT still can easily kill good Predator - and THIS is the issue. You can be worse player than a Predator, but if you play FT - you have f*king advantages. Itās like: āOh, riding a bicycle isnāt easy, you can run faster than a newbie ride his bicycle, but when you meet a good cyclist, you will lose. And donāt dare to complain! Because youāre actually complaining about people being good in riding bicycles!ā

imagine when the new players who buy the game get to have their (PREDATOR!!) slaughtered by a tiny knife all the time.They will leave the game in 4 days or less.
The matchmaking is rediculously bad (7 to 8 minutes to find a PRED game)
Almost empty lobbies
No stealth aproach for the PRED (he makes noises all the time)
I 'm confortable with PRED now, but it took an ETERNITY to achieve that.
And the game I play (based on speed, hit and run, luring ft players) is totally different than the one I wish I could play (similar to the 1987 movie, with stealth, ambushes and other elements)
We dont want the pred to be stronger or OP, we want to be able to be able to play a smart game. To me, they can give a ROCKET LAUNGHER, or STICKY MINES for the fireteam (we had these weapons in AVP 2 for PC remember?)
but please, let the pred play as a pred, not like a rushed berserker, plasma caster spanning idiot.
I wont buy anything until they fix this game.

Iāve played against a team that never get separated ā¦ it can be REALLY hard and sometimesā¦ you just have to cheese the fuck out of them with Plasma Cannon / Lures / Etc. Sometimes you need to cause some havoc in a base and attack while they are being overwhelmed by NPCs.
If you play the Predator as much as you are saying, you do know that the disc, albeit isnāt the best weapon, it packs a lot of damage when thrownā¦ if the person is caught on a trap/netgun and is not using a macro, you got a decent chance to kill it, your arrows / plasma shots, although donāt 1hit-ko, can bring the pain and force them to use their resources ā¦
And sometimesā¦ even though you fail to kill them, you end up wracking up far more points the fireteam, which I usually consider a win when you get waaaaay more points than their members. But if you only count winning as killing the whole fireteamā¦ thenā¦ yeah, sometimesā¦ there isnāt anything you can do and you lose because 2 guys left away in the chopper while you are up 12k points and the ft got 4k
I do play as the predator as well, but as a predator player can you suggest a mechanic to stop people from rushing down a FT with the combistick or any melee weapon if they canāt parry? Itās an honest questionā¦ because without the parry, any brainless berserker can just hop into the middle of the ft and try to mow down them ā¦ it takes usually whatā¦ 4-6 hits to down most people with combistick, not mentioning the support and you can achieve that really fast with the tracking of the Combistick ā¦ parrying is the only machanic they can use to try and slow you down to give their team some time to respond to such ruthless attackā¦ so you get parried, lose a second thereā¦ throw your combistick (I assume you got the surprise attack and at least 2 hits in there) and they are downā¦ either you can be greedy and take the quick claim or you can jump away to try and toy with them.
I am not trying to fight you there on the argument that āHey, I got a HUGE stick and you are parrying me with a small bladeā because it is almost impossible for someone with a small blade win against a spear user ā¦ but I believe the devs couldnāt figure out a better way to stop Predators from simply destroying a ft really quick in melee painting them as useless bags of meatā¦ yes, the predator is superior in all aspects, but the FT isnāt the usual Citizenā¦ they are a team os specialists that are Worthy of being hunted by the predatorā¦ keep that in mind as well

A āgirlā parried 3 combstick attacks whiile the others melted my life down.
I was so desperate to record and publish here that I fucked up and ended up deleting the video (my ps4 did).
I wish I could show you this.
Most of the time this game is awesome, but once or twice in a day these things happen.
OHH now I remember that 2 days ago this happened again. Combistick parry. I changed my tactics after this.
The real question is: Whyā¦ after the 1st parry you kept trying to attack the SAME girl over and over again? You donāt really see the problem there? You got parried 3 times and you had 3 other people on you shootingā¦ whyā¦ in Bananahamockās nameā¦ you tried that tactic and in what insane world you thought it would work out?? We are all prone to make mistakes, heeeeell I am the king of being stupid and making something for the Laughs, but in the endā¦ I donāt blame the other part for taking advantage of my stupidity, I say: Hey, I was being reckless, maybe I couldāve got away with it if people had less skillā¦ but this time they bested meā¦ still had a good laugh trying something stupid though.
I hope these things donāt infuriate you as much as it seem and you just need to vent out the fact that you dislike being parried, in the endā¦ itās just a game and I hope you are able to have fun with it, if notā¦ well, try it again in a couple of months in case they are able to fix the issues you have with itā¦ if notā¦ well, there are several games out there worthy of being given a shot to ^_^

So you kill 7/8 of the FT in most of your Pred matches and still complain about the parry mechanic? Ridiculous.
From a game design/ game balance point of view: Whatās your suggestion on how else the FT should defend itself against a melee spamming Predator in close combat?

Thatās a rather tricky question thereā¦ Iād say: depends on several factorsā¦ if the person washed it, what the person eats, how sweaty one can get, the amount of salt one consumes, if they smoke, what kind of soap they use and etcā¦ but it was really random !! I havenāt ever tasted one but thatās just those things that pop into my mind when one ask such questionā¦ is that random genuine curiosity or an attempt to call him gay and by doing that, you trying to look down upon him because he/she likes to fuck/get fucked by a guy or likes dick? That would be too much effort and thinking for him, he just wants the game to be easy. If he canāt figure it ways to separate and drain the Fireteam, he shouldnāt be playing Predator. Itās a thinking role, something heās clearly inept at.
