HOW THE FCK DOES A SOLDIER IN FT OUT MELEE THE PREDATOR!? A BUTTER KNIFE VS BLADE GAUNTLET AND BUTTER KNIFE WINS!?!?

Mate, I mostly play as a Predator. Like 90% of my games. But when I start playing as a FT… well, it almost always an easy win. I know how FT work. Stay together, look around, don’t be deaf and blind. Don’t stay at one point as a statue, move. If a Predator comes close and attack you - parry. That’s all you need to win easily.

There’s a wealth of YouTube videos by good Predator players using everything but NetGun, and showing how to take a Fireteam down with tactics and skills. And some don’t even come near us except to claim our skills.
You gotta apply the pressure, keep us on our toes so we make mistakes. We are trying to “get to tha choppa” after all, if that timer runs out we fail our mission and any OWL recordings we managed to recover don’t count, our Veritanium payouts are low…we have a huge investment in making it out alive, it’s down to you guys to prevent that.

if you got a problem against knifes

you either super bad or retarded

Against bad teams or teams of newbies - it’s easy, I have many games where I did the same things. These videos show nothing. Because people playing Predators won’t upload games where all their tactics lead them just to death. Their death.

Parrying is impressive and skillful without a doubt but it has it’s sensible place for example in fighting games like Street Fighter i always parry but it makes sense.

But in Hunting Grounds a soldier parrying alien weapons with a combat knife?

C’mon Son

I wish my Fireteams were as vigilant🤣 I mostly play with randoms who rush ahead, don’t coordinate and are just out to get the most AI kills they can🙄 for the first time last night I played with 2 other guys in a party, going up against random Predators with a 4th random team mate and yeah, it makes a huge difference when we can coordinate. But that’s not to say we didn’t get our asses handed to us by the smarter Predators. Going up against a party Fireteam (guys on Party chat, who play together regularly) is going to be hard. But most games are 4 random guys not using headsets. They can be forced apart. They can be pressured, and they can be beaten.

These threads make it out as though it is IMPOSSIBLE to ever win as Predator, that a 1v1 melee is ALWAYS going to be won by the Predator and that’s so far from the truth.

Were not just frontline cannon fodder grunts, we are SPECIAL FORCES. And there’s a huge difference between your everyday Private, and someone specially trained in combat skills, martial arts, knife combat…this argument is getting lame. I’m done explaining, blame everything but YOUR gamestyle all you like. This is how we separate the weak from the strong.

THERE!!! EXACTLY!!! So, you’re actually complaining about people being good at playing as Fireteam and being harder to kill.

Say no more. Ciao.

Exactly. You don’t have to melee as the predator. Also, you can use stealth and mobility to melee from behind. It’s not that hard, really.

Sometimes I play as FT too. There are many perks like you said.
Some make them super humans. And they are 4. But pred is shit in this game

Yeah I don’t understand why this is an issue when it has such a hard counter. In fact, most things that are called OP have something in the game that shuts it down completely

HaHa your mad

This dude doesn’t seem to have an issue…

This is how you should be playing, with THOUGHT and strategy.

si it GOD OF WAR Game or Thriller Game which that they focus on…

not only that , when we play as Predator , the Fireteam easily spot while Predator on trees… when Fireteam KILLED IN ACTION , it can back to the game by reinforcement…

If you’re not moving, you are completely invisible. It’s not as easy as you think to spot a Predator, especially when you’re being rushed by a dozen AI and trying to focus on staying alive. If a Predator player keeps getting spotted, he’s moving too much. The Predator stealth camo isn’t a crutch, it’s a tool like everything else so learn to use it.

Oh yeah, the kind that parry an Alien weapon with a knife and still think this is fair.
Its not enough for you to have heavy weapons, plenty medkits, reinforcements, revive fallen teammates while others melt down the preds life… oh, I forgot… I are 4 (four) the pred is alone.

youre right man, you’re not cannon fodder grunts.

You are Illfonic"s cannon fodder protected babies!

I think you need to go and watch the movies again, because your delusions of grandeur being an unbeatable alien tank certainly don’t come from the movies. The Predator wasn’t much taller than Arnold. And you assume that a bigger body mass should always beat a smaller one? You’ve never been in any IRL fights clearly, because small guys can knock large roidheads the fuck out on the regular. The worst thing you can do is judge someone according to their size. Guys who think because they’re bigger they can push everyone around usually end up sparked out after some smaller guy whooped his ass…and Predators are no different. Their technology is their strength, otherwise they’re just another biological lifeform with blood, veins, organs that can bleed, feel pain, and die. Get over it, get over yourself.

If you stand there in the line of fire, you’re going to get hurt.
If you rush a team when they’re together, coordinated you’re probably going to die.
If you think you can just play as Predator and win every game, you’re wrong.
You should think more about being a better Predator player, instead of thinking of excuses to cry about losing.

I don’t really mind the parrying… it only usually happens when you are mindless trying to melee them… if you are losing on 1v1 vs a FT member then you are probably doing something wrong. You have a lot of tools to deal with them… even though I get your point that “Hey, the metal the Predator use on the Blade is superior” or “Genetics on Predators are far superior than their prey, so they are obviously stronger” I still don’t mind the parrying… as I pointed out, usually happens when predators are being clumsy to say the least and sometimes not as efficient and smart killers as they are portrayed to be in comics/movies.

I don’t want to be just another guy who says : Gitgud , but I encourage you to watch some good Predator streamers / Youtubbers, you might pick up a few new nice tactics. But you most certainly will need to adapt your gameplay if you are being parried that much.
