I’ve heard stories about bots spawning in alongside the pred and wrecking him during the intro cutscene too! 😁

As far as A.I is concerned you can be attacked by A.I should they spawn where you or Predator does. This can even happen during ending cutscenes like Predator victory where it can go into second wind while doing the animation. However Predator has enough health that while an unfortunate spawn shouldn’t cause him to die like this. I’ve had it happen to me plenty and it’s never caused a game over.
The most likely scenario is they went out of bounds which might’ve caused him to retain the mask. Going out of bounds on accident can happen on Backwater. Probably a noob or someone being stuck somewhere too long.
Happened once to me against a player that was using the Valkyrie on a private match. I was the one to finish him and even though the body dropped and died the mask was not destroyed.
If you knock down the Pred with Grenades or knife he still has his mask on the ground (don’t hit his mask , you have to hit his body)
And also you can destroy his mask when you defused his bomb 😂😂😂
