How to 1v1 the Predator.

This play im gonna share, is very effective against Preds. About 7/10 works. (there are Preds very skilled Who know very well How to deal with one Fireteam guy)

  1. Heavy hitter Perk.
  2. Dutch or Support class. (you need health)
Before i continue we suppose that its a fair 1v1 without Guns and only melee attacks. (if Predator has combistick or elder sword its ok.)
    Now…
  3. you see him coming at you equip Knife.
  4. (important) when his about to attack, you sidestepping And Simultaneously press Light attack (R2).
  5. You Will get behind him, probably he Will attack on air at this time, then, you heavy attack. (L2) and directly Light attack (R2).
  6. The key is to move around the Predator all the time, perimetric. And Simultaneously attack him combine Light And heavy attacks. DONT stay in front of him.
Believe me it works 70 - 80 %…sure, he Will damage you, he Will beats you many times… But, this is the right way to play him… Remember, the key is to move perimetric and Simultaneously attack. If anyone has better way or want to share his thoughts please…

Predator nets you, melees you to death.

Quick a Combi throw jump over your head, quick Combi throw, jump over your head, quick Combi… FT down.

Throw bear trap on the ground at their feet, melee from behind.

Plasma Pistol in the face, back up repeat, back up repeat, dead FT member.

You can’t 1v1 them it they don’t let you.

But we suppose that its a fair fight as i said man…

It isn’t balanced around 1v1 on FT teams side. Predator is supposed to win 1v1’s (which it does currently).
Your strategy is fine, but FT can’t actually force Predator to engage.

Better to learn how to play as a team and cover each other.

Of course!! We talk about this time you are forced to fight him cause you are alone or cause many reasons… Look, you take the fight in a higher level right now but… The combi throw, you can avoid it. The net gun is Hard but… If you move and hide behind a tree or something and Simultaneously shoot him you have an opportunity… Bear trap yeah is Hard if he do that… And plasma pistol even harder… Anyway… I was talking about only melee vs melee…

Ok, and ai’m just saying a a Predator doesn’t have to let you do that.

Moving around them is a good strategy if they let you.

PS. Sorry if that reads as dickish, it isn’t that I don’t think it’s a good Strategy for 1v1.
Our Pred mains are sensitive about 1v1’s, 🤫 and you can bet one of them will bring this topic up.

If I have finished off the other FT n only one left, I’ll tend to decloak n switch to wrist blades. I like to draw out the round.

I like a good final fight scene myself.

The only way you can 1v1 a predator is with a big skill difference(or insane luck). If the predator is even decent he will destroy you. Even the fact that the OP’s entire premise is that the predator will stick to melee (even if even that way you can melee to victory with the elder sword) and shows the predators he is referring to are not good in any way.

PS. I’ve 1v1 countless predators. They where bad or I just got some insane luck (like them underestimating me and screwing around).

LMFAO

I’ve seen so many scouts 1v1 Berserkers… you don’t need a lot of health. You need good reflexes.

OK you probably talk about super noob preds, you undrestand that right?

I mean this is honestly just good advice in general for any duel.
Keep moving lol.

You make it sound like a dark souls fight.
Which is what I tell people to do lol, you’ve just explained it more throughly.

But I would say this should only be depended on if it’s a confirmed 1v1 wrist blade duel.

Believe me, i wouldnt say anything if i didnt check it many many times. Try it please Just Try it and tell me.

I pretty much said I agree with you tho xD.
I just think it’s better suited for duels tho. That’s all .

I’ve 1v1’d Beserkers as Recon, if you’re relying on health it won’t make you better, if I really want to 1v1 a Pred, I would use my melee Recon set, Bane, Heavy Hitter and OWLF training, Assault and Support are slower than Recon, so you’re more likely gonna get shot, bear trapped or netted. Then there’s also the chance they have Elders sword which at the moment is hard as hell to parry, so you’ll die that way, just pull out a high DPS weapon out in that case, if they are aiming at you, shoot at them, simple as that, always aim for the head, no mask = lower accuracy, there’s a lot of thoughts going through my mind when I play, just gotta remember what gear it’s using and you’ll be fine. 😀

It’s a good tactic. Good to be prepared even though it’s a really tough situation. Maybe pred has 25-50% health left and reinforcement have not been used. Preds first instinct is to try to get an easy melee kill. One perry/stun followed by a knife strike could make him consider healing, buying some valuable time for possible reinforcement. It could also be a good way to buy time if FT is separated so others would come to help. I’ve seen a high level match against a sweaty PC FT recently where it came down to 1v1 and pred kept going to melee even after several perries and ended up losing. Did 95% of the job and had a brain fart in the end.

Seems like a good tactic to use agaisnt ultra noob predators, so 99% of predator players pratically😂

Umm. Get to reinforcements or get to “da choppa.”

Seriously though, it’s only going to work on new predators or children playing on their parents ps4. Many predators will still do the wrist-blades-only final kill, just to make it interesting, but they’re just messing around and will kill you if they wanted to.

That being said, it’s still not a bad strategy for protecting yourself from melee while your friends shoot from the sides.

I’ve had some interesting 1v1 duels against fireteam PC players and some PS4 players in the past. Recons and Scouts are the masters of dodging and maneuvering around the Predator.

I had one match where there was one last PC recon player left and he was able to parry every single one of my wristblade attacks. He dodged all my arrows but I managed to damage him with my plasma pistol and plasma caster. Then I just finished him off with a slam.

I had another match where there was one support PC player left and this guy was extremely good at dodging. I finally caught him by surprise and killed him while he was mudding up.

This tactic you describe only works if you face a newbie Predator, someone who would rush in and spam the melee button and hope for the best.
