How to prevent Death Squading

So i’ve had the opportunity to play with some PC party members, and I don’t know why the Death Squading syndrome happens.
One guy always tends to derail from the group in order to chase after Predator. Often times he is able to run him into 2nd wind real early. This is dependant on how gud the predator is. Often times it is rare that this Pred has the loadout for this specific situation but most gud PC predators know which ones to choose.
FT members usually are the instigator regardless of how gud Predators are.
Maybe its just one person and everyone else follows, but I’ve written about this at length (see 3 Major FT Playstyles: What are your tactics to hunt FT? )
But the question is what would you include to prevent bad tactics in order to preserve the slower paced nature of the game?
Maybe a mechanic that only appears if you’re on a “hard core” mode?

One possibility is the inclusion of a mission time line. If you don’t commit to the timeline you will forfiet all V collected or a percentage of it collected between major objectives.

Another is a radius sensor that changes your heartrate or body temperature if you leave the radius of other members. This however can have the opposite effect (one member following another, then the rest doing the same). Maybe this mechanic with the one previously mentioned could keep the game on track with the slower paced nature of the game.

Any ideas?

But as it stands, a Predator NEEDS them to get separated to pick them off one at a time. So with the current balance I don’t dig the second idea.

You infiltrate the group of friends and cause a rift making them hating each other.
No more squad.

I seem to recall some wrestler account telling others going up against death squads to git gud. Maybe that’s the way to stop these death squads, you should try that.

If I’m the ONLY one whose doing it, WHAT IS THE POINT!?

The point is to Git Gud.

Because the objectives are just filler and take 5 minutes to do. That leaves 10 to do whatever the hell or stand on a roof. Why would you willingly fight AI unless you’re speedrunning objectives? FT decides the pace of the match.

5 minutes? Obviously you’re being a paranoid schzicho.

7-8 assuming you get the longest missions in the game and even trigger alarms

You can’t really prevent Death Squading, unless the mechanics of the game changes.

And adding gas to the fire if your Weekly/Daily mission is to hunt/damage the predator.

Then there are those blessed Bot FT members who lose their shit and jump into an exploit area hiding LOL!

Most obvious fix is to introduce atleast 1 time limited mission (optional or otherwise) that actually have fail conditions so you have a reason to do them. Or progressively ramp up the number of AI on the map the more time passes by. Turn it into a high risk high reward thing.

There is nothing in the game to force or encourage fireteam to run the actual mission objectives.

No reason at all and nothing stopping 4 players to load into a match and immediately begin hunting the Predator down for the entire 15 minutes

Thats why its such a fun and challenging yet frustrating at times type of game.
I think Hard Code mode is needed to either deduct XP or V from a players count if they throw their mission aside.

And many players have enough V and have been maxed at 150 for months. These are hardly detrimental enough to make people not bully preds

That goes without saying, but players have already reached the peak of the curve. Its very hard for Illfonic to keep up with it. Its just the nature of a game that offers very little to begin with.
Maybe whats being asked is too hard to do to cater to both new and old players.

It would require a HUNT mode that the user has to be willing to play. This hunt mode would be tailored for hard core mode.

or Hard Core mode would have to be implimented as a UI option at the user level (while HUNT mode stays remains same) and users who don’t have the option turned on will not know and will not receive bonus insentives (XP and V).

They should put a proper rank-based matchmaking system.

SBMM yes but it murders queue times and ranks would mean more sweaty meta deathsquading not less

Yeah the trick with that is the curvature of skill level in the player base. You simply don’t have more than a handful of top tier preds capable of handling (not winning mind you, just surviving long enough) against PCDS or even PS4 teams.
It gets real lonely and boring at the top…

Wouldnt that mean that the sweaties play against the sweaties though?
