Hunters are OP

What’s with the hunters lol so unbalanced right now, you guys have all these wonderful options while predators get sluggish weapons you can just step out of the way of lol and you can disarm are nuke lol and Rez your buds and the list goes on and on lol hunters need a nerf hard core

So far playing as predator I feel quite balanced, I suppose it depends what skill level the fire team squad is but yeh… I quite like the balance atm, if anything I think the marines are a little underpowered? That’s my opinion. I like this game a lot though.

Lol 4 hunters with mini guns nailing you before you get close or luring you into a tight spot where you glitch into a wall and get stuck so they can burn you to the ground lol the shame of it all

That isn’t a balancing problem, but a problem in the game itself, this is something that needs a patch.

Now about the rest, is not about your weapons but how you use it, miniguns for instance tho deals a good amount of damage, it’s starting fire is slow and it has low accuracy, net gun are excellent against them. The plasma caster you don’t aim at them when everyone is grouped up, you aim at them when they aren’t looking and you charge the shot prior to firing at them. The list of the tactics for the weapons goes on.

Other tips: The less you move while cloaked the less visible you will be, crouch before landing in flat surfaces makes less noise, kill every boar you see(but only eat them when you need)

I’ve noticed a clear difference between playing in a private party and random match. Predator tends to do way better in random match. Most random aren’t working together.

Edit : waited ten minutes to play as predator. Finally got a game. Spent three minutes trying to find fire team. They legit spotted me before I spotted them. Couldn’t get close to them. Two minutes later chopper was called. I literally could do nothing to them. What the fuck? How did we go BACKWARDS from the beta?!?!

Buff Predator, and that thing you call a “plasmacaster” its a slingshot at best. Also, more customization with predator would be appreciated.

Regarding the caster, it takes tons of energy to use and its basically useless. The vision mode also needs to relax with the energy drain

in my experience on both sides the predator certainly does struggle in combat, they can down someone sure but don’t possess the ability to finish it or keep it finished. i’ve played as both fire team and predator and i’m just saying, i’ve won every match as the fire team and lost almost every match as the predator. I understand that you need to rely on skirmish tactics as the predator, but a little extra base damage absorption would be nice.

I think if the fire team are using mics to communicate to each other, then you’re in trouble as predator. If the group are randoms with no mics then you have better chance winning as predator

There are no hunters here only FireTeam. This guys are so OP that the queue for the predator is 30 minutes ahead.

That’s the thing, it shouldn’t have to take an uncoordinated squad for Predator to to have the advantage, hes the Predator. All it takes is everyone staying a couple meters apart in eyes view, and the Predator is done. You may down 1 person or even 2 in one encounter, but the chances of you even finishing one guy before you’re critically wounded and have to gain distance to heal is slim. Predators weapons and combat system lack. The objectives take so little time to reach, and because of how much Predator lacks, the Fireteam usually always can buy enough time to escape while only losing 1 or 2 men easy.

Predators camo is completely useless also it needs a buff. The treeline because of this is basically just a way to traverse the map, and escape the Fireteam. The lackluster plasma gun mechanics combined with the lacking camouflage, makes it near impossible to have any sort of advantage in the treeline like he does in the movies. Not to mention its too loud when activating/ deactivating, it’s a cloaking device the loud noise ot emits combined with the way it reflects light it nearly defeats the whole purpose of it all together. The fireteam also shouldn’t have instant heals but rather heal stations with limited heals that leave you vulnerable while using it in the same manner as the ammo stations, that or they have to stay stagnant and vulnerable for a few moments like predator to apply a heal. The Predators tech that is supposed to be futuristic and fearsome pales in comparison to the fireteams more basic arsenal that for sone reason executes everything in faster more deadly succession.

I played a match today with Hunter and the club as my primary weapon. I also had the fearless perk and couldn’t kill a single fire team member with melee damage. Predator needs some serious work.

The devs either need to buff predator or give the fire team more of a challenge because they aren’t really worried about the stupid AI who can’t even see you when you’re standing right next to them. Playing as the predator never gives you the time to plan your attacks or to do good stalking because you’re always worried about being attacked. Whereas F13 as Jason, you could take your time planning bear traps and turning on generators while counselors looked for supplies.

I’ve changed my opinion on the predator being well balanced now… I’ve lost a few matches now as predator, tried all my strategies and non worked, so long as fire team stand near each other you can barely down one marine before your health is near 0 and you have to run and hide… I think predator is a little on the unbalanced side. The ranged weapons seem piss weak and hardly worth using against a coordinated fire team. I dunno, maybe I’m having a bad day playing as pred lol!

I’ve been trying to learn strategies to play with but nothing seems to work for even the weakest of fire team members.

The predator is very weak and needs a buff.
I killed the predator at the start of the game 1 on 1 he entered the second wind and i followed him with the support character and killed him. My mates were doing missions, me alone killed him. I used the machine gun and boom, a buff would be nice but its trash illfonic, what to expect???
