Hunting Grounds and the Predator Story.

Yes, this game does have lore and lots of it, but I’ve seen many concerns over the game bringing elements such as Stargazer or the Predator Ship model from The Predator. While yes, that movie was a trainwreck and a half, I believe Fox and Ilffonic are attempting to salvage what they can from that movie with this game the best that they can.

Stargazer is the organization that pretty much replaced the O.W.L.F before the events of The Predator and had taken over their inventory and knowledge of Predator stuff, weapons, and fluff. As we see how the movie is a trainwreck, so is Stargazer. Fugitive breaks free, yadda yadda ya. Stargazer would then go on to be a minor antagonist in the Predator Hunters II Series, mostly getting their ass kicked by a Predator in the Middle East, while also investigating what happened in Hunters 1. Their repeat failures and desire to look for Predator Tech is again referenced by Dutch in the Dutch Tapes in Hunting Grounds. I believe Fox and Illfonic are practically placing an band-aid on the story while recycling Stargazer to be our Predator Version of Weyland-Yutani, if that makes any sense. I am in no way defending the flim, but by investigating the connected lore behind the comics, films and this game, I’d say it’s all meshing together.

The first three flicks all had moments that were amazing, even if the sequels weren’t ever quite as good as the first one. I haven’t yet given “The Predator” any of my time. . . but there’s gotta be SOME cool stuff in it. . .right? Warn me if not plz?

Just go watch Fugitive vs Stargazer scene, and don’t watch anything else.

Flim is unironically just bad.

Don’t think you’re far off, there’s the prequel novel and stuff in the game itself. I would like more info on who the FT work for and eventually some form of progression.

Ideally we’ll progress as members of the OWLF, but it would be interesting to have a separate STGZ progression. Eventually even having VS type matches between the two groups.

I’d absolutely love to see a O.W.L.F vs Stargazer fight happen in Game or even in any other material.

FT works for Zeus, a private contractor for official militaries. Basically, we clean up Stargazer’s outposts and their hired Guerilla friends. Technically, O.W.L.F isn’t affiliated with Zeus but definitely had more authority than him. Dutch in game will reference the O.W.L.F and his knowledge of them as he’s been with them during the Predator Body Secure gameplay sequence.

Aside from the designs of the predators (assassin wasn’t too bad despite him being an abomination) the entire movie is absolutely horrible. I would not recommend this unless you’re looking to turn your brain off for a few hours.
