I never said everything is fine, and I never said you’re the only one having problems with these teams.
As an experienced ft player I can tell you waht would work on me and what wouldn’t. I don’t need to play as predator to tell you where you need to improve in order to beat pc teams. So you can get that ideology out of your head.
I run into them in pubs 2 maybe 3 times within a 2 hour session. Its not always the same DS, but I see most of the known DS (that happen to play the same timezone as me) at least once per session.
And this games matchmaking is all over the place and weird. I’ve been playing since the beginning and have only ever encountered people on the forums once or twice in the wild.
Right I see people in here I ve never played against myself too that seem to be big deal, but I guess are on a different timezone

After the patch when Pred specializations were introduced, balance is no longer an issue.
You can’t balance skill. Right now,the game is pretty balanced. Is not balanced the way it should have been, both sides are now over-powered, but at least is better than just one side over-powered.
Yes, PDL, Tracker perk, saw-z, 1011 (FT dps in general) is OP, but so is Disc and Plasma when you combine them with downrange and specializations such as analytic or stalker. Even the viking axe and norse hammer are one hit kills, though they are extremely hard to use.
Depending on the players you are facing, you have to switch your tactics. You are a hunter. You can’t hunt duck with a bow, or boar with a shotgun.
As for FT, they are hunters as well, specially at high level. If you don’t feel is fun or is frustrating to face these teams, just leave the lobby. Nobody is going to give you shit for it. A lot of us do. Everyone is entitled to play however the fuck they want. You can’t change people’s perspective. I learned this the hard way. You either try to get along or just go play with someone else.
Gotta remember this, I find myself telling others to run meta shit as FT or Pred all the time since like, they lose a smidge of damage doing it their way and i’m like “You can do that way better with this or like this”.
I still wonder why this isn’t a thing yet.
I start to see more and more Elder - Stalker Players, but hardly anybody with Wrathful and Axe. :-(

these FT perks force Preds to go for the disc as main or the Pred stalker.
Analytic btw (which you mentioned) is what I have been trying against these DS and got my ass kicked because, you cannot even approach such elite players (let alone take the time to scan them) without them realizing where you stand based on the noises you make.
But even if you do manage to scan them, if they keep spotting you or throwing PDL’s and put a 9 sec marker on you which forces you to run away, then there is practically no game to be had. All you do is run half a map away while taking snipper shots on the back.
People accused me of bitching about these perks making it impossible to win, but what I was saying is that these perks make it impossible to even play and enjoy the game (forget about winning! Personally against such teams, I am satisfied if I manage to even claim 1 person! I never had illusions of being able to take down all 4).
But with a perk that spots you for 9 secs, another one that makes you go slower while being spotted and PDL’s, it has become too ovewhelming.
This is what the game offers sure, but its up to all of us to communicate and regulate all of these abilities since we know some things are just too much!
And yeah if this game has come down to being able to go against DS by using only Elder stalker with disc and nothing else, I ll start avoiding DS as well and I really dont want to.
You cannot melee a DS member man without being sent to 2nd wind like 80% of the times.
They always stick together.
Maybe if you have left just one standing, although I have seen even a single person melting Predators at close range.
On the other hand, all the spotting assistance + the slowing down perk (while the pred is spotted) that the FT gets now, is not hard at all to put to use.
DS were already way too hard to go up against, now it has degraded down to spending the whole match, running to hide while waiting for the spotted marker to go away and then immediately getting spotted again.

here’s the thing kiddo… even with those OP loadouts, they still get their asses kicked from time to time.
You get spotted? so what. some of the most experienced Preds I play with flat out don’t use cloak, they still don’t get sniped from a mile away. They know how to move. Is hard, but it can be done. Others do it all the time.
And about melee… go watch blackcat’s twitch and catch blademaster and see how the fucker downs DS with the axe, for fun.
My only complain with the player base is that there’s no in-between. There’s either potatoes or death squads. Makes it really hard to get better. Almost all the pred players have become really good hosting private matches because of that.
Does this game have mmr? (I mean it feels like it since it started chill but lately been getting so many sweaty FT’s) but maybe illfonic said there isn’t, I didn’t exactly follow the game as much before I got it…

It used to have some at very low levels (like below level 40), but I got the game on steam and my very first match (being level 0) was against a PC squad who I know were all level 150.
So I think is gone now

There wasn’t matchmaking like ever.
On 10ish lvl I was against top level Preds.
maybe is a region thing. but for a while I tested it and it sort of was. I would queue up as pred with a new account and would constantly match against new players. and when I got to IRL friends to play the game, we would constantly be queued up with and against new players.
The only thing I’ve noticed is I tend to be paired towards the platform. On console with crossplay on every 2 or 3 matches I’ll catch PC players but the majority is console. I never find anyone on thr forums from PC.
On PC I’m seeing less console and more PC, but I’m catching either full lobbies of Steam players or veteran console players way above my “level”. Other than that there literally seems to be no rhyme or reason to match making

I noticed once you get to level 30-40 the mmr is gone
then again, after the game was released on steam, mmr seems to be non-existent
it also seems to be more on pred than FT. I remember when I started playing by level 10 I was already facing zerkers, which were level 45 I believe
