Yeah I think these kind of things are muddy. I dont have a concrete opinion on them.
I dont mind getting my ass handed to me by PCDS, but this is just trolling.
There is no possible way to play disc and bow on the same dpi. By switching between different dpi modes, you are able to use both weapons effectively.
Sure but I think disc players avoid using the bow anyway, no?
I mean I ve been using only bow since I started and I am still having trouble hitting people with it given how ridicoulsly small the arrow’s hitboxes are in combination with how fast FT members strafe and jump around.
So I would imagine bow against DS is not the best approach but hey… I like it. haha
No, I use them both.
So you re telling that you sacrifice the accuracy of the bow to have a faster moving disc right?
Again I am not supporting it, or being against it.
It feels like a grey area to me.
Yes
No, you can switch from low to high sensitivity with the push of a button on the mouse.
The same way you can adjust the sensitivity of the joystick on controller, but on the go with the push of a button.
I see.
Still having to switch between the two modes takes some ms to do and could lead to mistakes. (choosing or forgeting the wrong dpi for example)
For me its a grey area.
Not really, I mean on PC these are features that come with the mouse and one of the many hardware advantages we have. I use different sensitivities for different weapons. For 10x sniper I set it high but for assault riffles, smg, pistols…low to medium.
Always on the go, it’s very convenient.
So its not so difficult to manage.
Then I guess you are not against Predator using this with the disc if FT members do the same for their weapons right?
Correct, I’m not against it one bit, even tho it hurts really bad getting one shotted and killed in less than two seconds (I may be overexaggerating)
Really? Tell me about it! lol
My mouse dpi doesn’t go that high, I use the same dpi for both bow and disk. I only started trying to use the disk recently on private matches, took me a while to throw the combistick away.
Jungle and City Hunter are still good enough to win if you know how to use the disk well.
No! haha
I didn’t mean that you in specific, used the dpi trick on the disc.
Sorry about that.
What I meant is that I have heard someone on your team explaining to you that if the pred chooses to play with high dpi on the disc, we have the right as a FT to use such and such perks/gear.
I go for Scout just for the fact that they can be 100% silent.
I have a specific reason for it.
For me as I have said before, the disciplined specialization should be available for all Pred classes not as a specialization but as default upgrade the moment the player has reached lvl 150 and is most likely to be interested going against top tier players and not beginners.
Also I like using the bow and it kind of pisses me off being forced to use a specific weapon but ok.
But that means you dont get a good damage boost from for example stalker or analytic
Stealth in this game doesn’t work anyways so there is no need to be silent. I mean I do like the idea of being that silent, but that should be a normal perk, not only for scout
Agreed. Disciplined would be best as a perk and not specialization. Class locked to scout it doesn’t hurt as bad though. Yeah you miss out on the extra damage perk with specialization but once out of sight you can disappear, reposition and wreak havoc
The idea of being silent is good in theory but not so much in practice. We’ve fought a few guys using JH with discipline and never lost a match. Of course it was in a full team of good ft players. So Idk I think other said specs are more effective.
Well that’s the thing. Instead of swapping disciplined for fervent or analytic, swap it for modified reserve or medic and slap it on an Elder Stalker…
