I honestly find playing the Predator very boring.

The main reason for this is because there is no variation in the classes or skills when it comes to each ‘class’ that the Predator has.

Having a few stat tweaks and a severe lack of gear options doesn’t really count as a fully fleshed out character.

Now, I understand that Illfonic would have to run everything by a person who’s a representative for the Predator franchise when it comes to creating things for the Predator itself(that’s just how this stuff works), but, the lack of variation within the Predator has made the game VERY stale.

It would make sense if Illfonic’s hands were tied when it came to ‘going nuts’ when it came to the variation the Predator had in the game, but, I don’t know… I expected more due to how much creative freedom you could have with such a character.

The absolute lack of movie skins sucks.

i can dig it. ya they should have gone with all the movie stuff first. some of the masks are pretty gross (looking at you plague mask) Maybe they are saving it for future content.

It does take a certain amount of internal RP to maximize the enjoyment of playing as Predator. It brings me back to being obsessed with the character in my teens. I wish this game came out 10 years ago. Seeing as the selling point is a good dose of nostalgia, including as much reference material as possible is a good idea.

Judging objectively based only the game play elements. well…

I like the plague mask. I have my scout all in on the plague theme, green armour, and weapons, skin, etc.

personally i only dislike the nocturne mask i think it’s called it’s too smooth and lots of warpaints cuttoff making them not look as cool

also i personally only enjoy playing as the predator however it could be due to my normal competitive nature in games as i don’t like relying on others as then it is too easy to blame others instead of myself when losing that and i enjoy assymetrical multiplayer games that have a focus on combat like evolve did for example as opposed to the dead by daylight model which sadly is what became succesful for the genre
then of course playing as the fireteam feels like offbrand CoD not that’s a bad thing but i’m not a particularly large CoD fan stopped playing em around blops2

Would help alot if they would make Predator melee weapons different and not just in the damage department, sure they got different speeds etc etc but combistick rules
so much above all other weapons its not even funny.

Give sword and club some love there needs to be a reason to use them over combi.

I agree with this statement. But I disagree about the Predator being boring. I absolute love playing as the Predator. Sure things are wonky, but the Predator experience is there it just needs some tuning. The whole game needs some tuning to be fair.

but to the point here in my experiance currently the sword is the best pure melee weapon as it stands due to it’s dmg output if they miss a parry they take 63 dmg as as zerker that’s 3 mistakes and they lose i’ve wiped plenty of teams with it and one team was a 4 man squad who was using voice and was well coordinated albeit they weren’t using super meta weapons
the sword is fast enough to to it’s dmg quickly it’s only downside honestly is it’s tracking can be buggy sometimes and you have to walk inbetween sword swings instead of just mashing it like combistick does

this is posted again from another thread if you knew the dmg values the stick is the 2nd best melee weapon currently at best due to right now it’s swing speed is the same as the club it’s only adv is range and it’s tracking is the best
the club and the disc are the only melee weapons that need adjustments the sword at most needs it’s tracking improved so sometimes you don’t swing at nothing when your in the thick of it
but i don’t want to talk about that that’s not what this thread is about

I almost exclusively play Predator because I find the Fireteam to be boring. Playing FT feels like a mediocre shooter with an invisible nuisance showing up sometimes; I have other shooters I can play that offer much the same thing but better while there isn’t anything else that lets me hunt down and murder people as the Predator.

Yeah even in the tutorial he was boring. I have asked a few people (because their que times are much greater) what enjoyment they got waited that long only to just jump down and attempt to melee. They all seemed to respond rather harshly

Theres a limited amount weapons- yes
But there are numerous ways to approach combat and how to use each weapon
Try not to lose everytime ,then you will see when you get a good fireteam that it aint so simple

you are shitting on game and its development for your own lack of creativity

Pretty sure the sword is actually better than combistick for pure melee damage. Only thing that makes stick “better” is the ability to throw it

+reach and that it autolocks on target you can keep swinging it and it will connect.

Unlike the sword will start to miss if you keep spamming it.
