Marshawn Lynch has done a lot for the gaming community. His appearances on Conan have caused huge spikes in sales for the games he has played.
I think, from a publicity perspective for this game, this was a big brain move for Illfonic.
It wasn’t what the community wanted, but it will bring a lot of new people to the community.
I may be biased because he is one of my favorite football players of all time, but still.
I like it. I’d give this DLC an 8.5/10.
This will bring actually 0 people. The only people who even know this is out are people who play the game and open it up to see this, or people on the forums. No one will buy this for beastmode. This was not big brained. This was stupid. And another gigantic waste of there development time. Stop giving illfonic the benefit of the doubt. This kind of rhetoric is what got us here in the first place.
I have to disagree, but I’ll explain why -
Marshawn Lynch is easily one of the most like-able and relatable football players in recent NFL memory. Pretty much all of his scandals involved how much he hated interacting with the media, and he became a veritable pop sensation because of it.
I can almost absolutely guarantee to you, and everyone, that on his next appearance on Conan they will play this game, as his character. I think that publicity will be enough for people to take a look at the game, despite the poor initial reviews at launch.

I dont know why, but I like the DLC. I dont watch football or anything. But I think it was a good choice from a business perspective .
I love Lynch as well. And yes they shoulda run the ball smdh. BUT putting this in a predator game is a giant miss. A lot of people didint even know who it was we had to tel them. And this is not being advertised. Like I said the only people hearing of this are people already in the community. So this is bringing 0 new costumers. Now if they added Rambo, or like John Conner or something stupid like that and advertised it, it would bring in a lot of people. This fan base is 80s action. Not new school football. It’s just a miss
I like the move, just not the timing. They’re going dark for 2 months and drop an original character with an outside draw and appeal to boost sales?
Level cap has been stagnant for months, they were teasing a snow map with Viking, all kinds of neat stuff we know is cooking in illfonics kitchen and we get none of it before a long hiatus? Just don’t seem right to me.
So I just don’t get this logic that this will even boost sales. I love Lynch and I definitely won’t be buying this. You know where I wanna use him?? Madden. I asked my brother who’s literally the biggest football fan in the world, (literally asked him 5 min ago) hey If they put beast mode in Predator would you buy the game? And he was like uhh wtf no? Why? Lolol like not even huge football fans wanna play this game just cause he’s in it. Because that’s just not the correct fan base to be pandering to

I think he has an identity crisis.
I’m not disappointed by it. Confused sure, but I have no problem with the fact that it even released.
